Delightful All-You-Can-Eat Thai BBQ & Hotpot @ Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta

We are exploring Queens and find ourselves in Fresh Meadows for all-you-can-eat Thai BBQ & hotpot. Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta has been described as "An All-You-Can-Eat Paradise" by Eater. Moo Ka Ta is a communal dish in Thailand that is part hot pot & part BBQ grill. So while the meat is cooking on the grill, you have the broth boiling your veggies and noodles right there on the side.
Boon Dee translates to blessings/prosperity. Fitting as this relatively new restaurant (with its welcoming environment, banging music, great service, variety of appetizers and desserts, and exceptional cuts of meat) is already finding prosperity in the beautiful borough of Queens.
Come along for this food adventure!

You have to dip with their sauces bro. The sauces are very important to eat Moo Kra ta. 😉

Hiya, How would Boon Dee Rank vs other Asian Buffets? Like rank wise, favorites, and compared to "MEAT ME" , "99 FLAVOR TASTE", "cast iron pot" , "gyu-kaku" , etc. ?

I liked this place a lot. To be honest, the hot pot part of the meal wasn’t ideal/functional bc of the shape of the grill/pot, but the BBQ section was great. There was an awesome selection of meats and I liked that it was self-service. If I wanted to get more of a specific meat, I could walk right up and get it as opposed to waiting for someone to come, take the order, and then bring it (usually a smaller portion than what I want). Ranking: #1 Meat Me - I love the environment there with the high energy Kpop music and fun crowd. The quality of meat is great and they have good service. It comes with side dishes (banchan) that you can get refilled, along with other sides off the menu. #2 Boon Dee & 99 Favor - I find Boon Dee and 99 Favor to be interchangeable. 99 Favor might have the slight edge bc their hotpot is better, but if I’m going for just BBQ I might have to give the edge to Boon Dee. I like both places a lot, so I would leave it up to the person I’m going with to choose. #3 Cast Iron - I haven’t been to Cast Iron since 2019, but I will say that I liked it A LOT when I went. It's similar to Meat Me and it has cool lighting, so I felt like I was at a club. I'm not sure if this is always the vibe (I was there for NYE), but it might be too intense of an atmosphere for some. #4 Gyu-Kaku - This place gets marked down bc I'm a volume eater, haha. I get more for my dollar at the other places, which are all-you-can-eat. They do have great deals during happy hour and their side dishes are fantastic, but this place hits my wallet way harder than the others. With that said, I can be convinced to go back to GK for special occasions since the food is good and the vibes are great.

I think it may depend on what style of Asian food you like which can be subjective.
