That place is classic midwest-at-its-best, from what i remember it was like the first gyro/cheesesteak shack to open on that side of town

I would recommend trying Flying Weenie for gyros! They have other good stuff like brats, ribs, and baked beans as well. There's another place called New York Gyros in Marion that I haven't tried.
So, the place with the bongs and whatnot is the Gyro Hut? 🤣 Give them the munchies and then sell them food!

Gyro Hut is great! Probably the best gyros in CR. Its super sketch, but you're not going to take your life into your hands by going there. The locals someitmes exaggerate 😅
My wife and I live on the SE side and I drive by that place everyday. Our food options are super limited. Any suggestions? Also, the construction on Mount Vernon Rd is awful.

Hello Tim! We are saddened that we are losing the Mexican restaurant in MV road, and have actually talked to the city about the plans for the construction. They will be adding a sidewalk which we are excited to bike on. I think going to the NewBo area is best for SE side and my favorite spot might be Sacred Cow. Let me know what type of food you are looking for and I can try to be more specific!
