I’m a beginner. I just finished Row 12. Who else low key lost their mind because she’s no longer holding our hand?? Please don’t tell me I’m the only one... My prayer.... Dear Chart, please stay with me and guide me to the very end of this labor of love. My first time actively using a chart to confirm what I’m hearing and doing. What a treat this has been so far. 🤞🏽🧶🤞🏽

Hello! Just wanted to point out that your chart, and also the one on the Red Heart website has rows starting with a 4 chain and 3 half doubles, rather than a 5 chain and 3 doubles. I also double checked the video, and the chart you are using is the same as the current 😬 Not sure if it makes a difference on the outcome, but I’ll try to follow to the chart, since you taught me how to read a chart pretty well. Thank you for that! 😁

Dear Marly, Thank you for the free pattern and tutorial. I'm making this scarf with lovely cotton to ware it in spring/summer. ➡️I'm a little confused about row 7 🙄 The pattern says beg-hdc-shell (beginning half double crochet shell) = (Slip st, ch 4, 3 hdc) in indicated stitch, but in the video I see you doing the: beg-hdc-shell. To be sure I am following the pattern as written and drawn...

Absolutely! You need to figure out if the gauge you get with the yarn you choose will work with the numbers in the pattern, and if they don’t simply make adjustments. Either increase or decrease two 2-dc groups at a time when you start :)

The last treble of the 2nd row (9:50) wouldn't it make more sense to keep it tidier & consistent with the starting chain at the beginning, to do it into the top of the stitch below rather than into the chain space? I'm a kinda experienced newbie so still learning, so any input or ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated 😃👍

Great shawl! Just a question. In the diagram, row 7 starts with 4 chains & a cluster of half double. You are keeping the same as previous rows. Is there a reason for this (keeping it consistent?), but won't it make the height difference visible if you make the sides with doulbles & a treble & the mid part with half doubles? (or is the diagram wrong?) Thanks for all nice tutorial Marly!!
