5:16 bro at takeoff they dim lights so that if any accidents happen or fire happens due to engine overload people in aircraft do not get blinded by both lights and fire hence to avoid confusion they do it as most of time accidents happen while takeoff and landing

See bro it is not like that at all , there are different gates on airport because there are many flights from different states and countries which have to be parked , in simple words gates are just the parking spots for planes just like u park ur car or any other transport vehicle just the difference is that passenger planes are considered in public transportation .
