Delhi experienced scorching 52.3 degrees Celsius temperature

On Wednesday, Delhi experienced its highest-ever recorded temperature, reaching a scorching 52.3 degrees Celsius according to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). This record-breaking temperature was reported at 2:30 pm by the Mungeshpur weather office situated on the outskirts of the national capital.
The IMD had issued severe heatwave alerts for Delhi and several other states in North and Central India in the preceding days, as temperatures soared to unprecedented levels in multiple districts.
Just two hours after Delhi reached its highest-ever temperature of 52.3 degrees Celsius, the national capital experienced showers this afternoon, offering some relief from the intense heat.
