This was definitely a battle of adaptability. Spargo was looking really shaky the first two games but a comeback against Gluto game 5 when you're down a stock is no mean feat. He really held it down here.

I love that the vod creators put 18 minutes of non-gameplay at the end so that you couldn’t tell whether or not there was a reset just by the progress bar. I was so shocked when I saw Sparg0 win that game five with so much time left in the vid

Up until the very last second, I was convinced that Gluto would get the reset. This man overcame KEN's Sonic in the most absurd comeback ever and looked invincible after that. But somehow, Sparg0 was always too clutch.

I’ve always thought Gluto was one of the best players and could potentially make it to grands as long as he got through sonic and the characters that make him sdi due to his hand condition. He’s so underrated and he’s such an amazing player

THE GOAT IS BACK!!!!!!!! Also its crazy to see that Sparg0 broke 2 player curses tonight: The first being against KEN in which he always goes to game 5, tonight he beat him in 4 games. And the second being against Gluto in which the two of them have always traded sets, spargo wins one set, and gluto wins the next and so on. But spargo has finally won back to back sets against him now! So proud to see him bounce back after last week!!!

Gluto plays the three last sets in a row, I mean the focus required to win 3 sets against these players in a row is so high that he couldn't make it. Respect to him for making us believing the opposite and congrats to spargo for that win, that was a really good turnament (if we forget the waiting screen)

Sparg0 and Gluto are two of the most technically gifted and brutal players - it was a treat to watch and a fantastic run from Gluto in losers. MY GOAT IS SPARG0

I knew what Sparg0 was trying to do after grabbing Gluttony twice at the end there. Using throws to short term condition your opponent to drop sheild or press a button that beats a throw instead, but then you anticipate when they are going to predict your next throw and instead you press a button that beats theirs. It's easy to say Gluttony should have held sheild, but the other reason to not want to get thrown was stage control (as the commentators mentioned). He didn't want to constantly be trying to recover against Sparg0. Cloud's aerial attacks are too strong.

Damn gluto played really good tho this set was awesome to watch. Also sparg0 has the best limit blade beam punishes I ever seen from a cloud player. Spargo never gave up good stuff to him. Gluto improved a lot too some of his combos are insane good

One thing about Gluto's evolution as a player in ultimate. He uses the down b more often than he did in the past. Up a stock , down a stock, even stocks. He plays the long game more often. And using it at full and half strength has been key for him.

Wow, amazing showdown. Spargo really had to adapt his play style a bit, as Wario is less susceptible to Climhazzard than other characters. Most characters seem to get caught in the down stroke, but Wario would pop out after the up stroke, thus making that move more of a liability than an asset.

That's why Leo loses, the plot armor isn't with him anymore, it is with the kid. 12:16

Gluto low key deserved the set. The amount of wafts that wouldn’t sent the right way was crazy on key games was crazy. And I think Spargo deserves the most out of every player

The opening of the first match had 2 really cool interactions with the bike and the casters did not say anything. The trade on the upsmash and bike throw then throwing the bike up then throwing spargo into it. That felt stylin'.

Spargo's down B close to ledge had me thinking like Gluto lol 🎉

if only things would have gone a bit differently at smash con for sparg0 but im glad he was able to get the W here and still prove himself

Like Fox has only light. Cloud has only Sparg0 who also secondaries Aegis. Byleth and Joker only has Leo. Like my point is, in this context, two is a large number when every other character has only one character representative and they all don't have results as much as あcola and Onin.
