just heard Del Paxton passed away today, RIP 2 a great man who was also a great boys basketball coach as well.

Every time I see this scene, I get frustrated that it ends.

I’d watch it

The genuine joy in Guy's face when he sees Del in the studio, and then Del asked if they could jam together. On top of being part of a band with a hit record, Guy got to jam with his hero.

This is also my favorite part.

I like how Guy was taken from a back water town, on the wings of a up-temp joke, to play with his hero all because he was ready to take advantage of it when it came. It's why we practice.

It's part of a subtle running gag in the film; Spartacus was mentioned a couple of times, remember when Lennie asks him "Skitch, how did we get here?" & guy puts on his shades, smiles and says "I have led you here, for I am Spartacus."
