I’ll never forget the evening I walked into a restaurant that I won’t mention and this super cool Italian dude comes out before I even walk in and welcomes me and my friend in. He seemed so familiar but I tried not to overthink it. We sit at the bar and I keep thinking… there’s something going on. I know him. After about an hour I snag my phone and pull up a picture of Manuel. I flip the phone and go……. “Is this you?!?” Explosions in the universe. It’s actually fucking Manuel. He sits down with us, opens a great bottle of wine and we talk until the restaurant is absolutely empty. Manuel is an legend and one of my heroes.
