A coach coming to your living room is a special thing but getting invited and flown out to sit in the coaches house is gangsta and would have hit me as a recruit wayyyyyy different get to come back to school and say I just left Deion house cause he want me to play for him is epic either way as a college athlete I would’ve felt privileged to get a invite to where the coach rest his head

He also took care of JSU players doing the water crisis. Put them up in hotels and feed them. paid for busloads of kids in high school to his for tournaments. Used his money to rebuild JSU practice field and facility. Took a pay cut at JSU so the coaches could be paid a decent amount. Went to CU before a contract was done. I think that's pretty humble.

As a man who's been married for 27 years. Doing things the old ways also mean till death do us part, in sickness and health, richer or poorer. How many women stick to those vows. 50% of marriages fail because 80% of them are filed by the woman. Women want men to do things the traditional way, while many aren't traditional themselves. Times have changed and so has recruiting. Look how many high school players decommit based on the NIL deal. Nothing to do with the coach or school.

And that is facts as a person myself that came from those conditions I didn’t want the coaches to come to my home. We would set up recruitment meetings at the Marriott meeting room where my aunt worked, because I grew up in the projects, And another thing, people are seeming to forget it’s a different age technology, where jobs don’t even do face-to-face interviews. Everything’s done on zoom or FaceTime. Even my doctor appointments with my psych is done via video. He can talk to Mommy and Dad via FaceTime or zoom call and I don’t think he’s actually talking about his house per se but I believe he’s talking about checking out how they do things with the program on campus the facilities, the dining hall things of that nature.

Do you know why he wouldn't attend booster events or Alumni events? He gave his reason, but you forgot that. My mom and aunt went to an HBCU. I put my sister through Fisk. I played at a PWI. JSU has about 60K Alumni. Imagine if 50% gave $1000 in funds to the school. Thats 30 million a year. He wouldn't have to use its own money to rebuild the sports facilities while taking a pay cut. Housing students in hotels and feeding during the water crisis. By your logic he should have only taken care of his kids, the rest are on their own. Name me another coach in all of sports doing that. Maybe put pressure on HBCU alumni to donate at the same percentage as PWI instead of being concerned with one man, this is why our people are behind. Crabs. We always looking for a savoir while doing nothing. Prime is about business. He saw the outcome and wasn't inspired. He's promoted other players, you're the one focused on his kids. They're quite a few kids at CU that have NIL deals and commercial that don't feature his kids.

Perhaps the main reason you attend a PWI is because you felt inadequate in your black skin and felt that a HBCU could not feed you. But guess what sir???? If it were me, I would prioritize spending time in environments where I know my child will reside and attend school comfortably. Personally, I am indifferent to visitors coming to my home. Growing up as a pastor's son, I witnessed firsthand the stress and anxiety it can cause when someone from the church visits the homes of congregants, as in the case of a member's wife experiencing an anxiety attack when my father wanted to visit their home to offer a position to her husband. The pressure of getting the house in order can be overwhelming. Furthermore, I've observed that attitudes toward visitors vary based on both the family's financial situation and cultural background. For instance, during my time working for a non-profit organization, I encountered instances where White individuals living in trailer homes showed no concern about visitors, while African American families residing across from them didn’t want us to come in. It's evident that societal class and cultural differences play a significant role in people's perceptions and behaviors on home visits. Many times, the underlying factors influencing these reactions are not openly acknowledged; it's not just about personal preference but also about class and cultural considerations.

How arrogant do you have to be to make a recruit fly out to your house so you can flaunt all your wealth and for them to go back to their middle to lower class residence afterwards. Show some damn humility and integrity as a coach and show your future prospects that you’ll take the time effort and money to go visit them in their neighborhoods. It seems like you may be asking a lot of some families, especially those who have some economic or other social limitations. It seems to me the fairer thing to do would be for Deion to rent some local hotel or conference room and meet the families there. They give more freedom to the recruits by allowing them to see the campus for a tour and to also see his home. He can still have a connection to each family and player. He doesn't have to conform to the traditional recruiting process. It's better to not waste time. Parents need to see where their child will be and who they will be spending time with. That's at the university campus. University athletics are businesses. They aren't their to be your "family" or friend.
