I agree with everything BUT the Peter Thomas Roth primer. I use it with Dior Forever Matte foundation and BK Beauty 101 brush and I get comments about how flawless my face looks. I'm 56 with pores and some texture but this combination is magical! I've heard is doesn't work well with heavily water based foundations and damp beauty blenders. Basically doesn't do well with water. Also shake well, thin layer and give it at least 5 mins to dry.

This is an excellent point. The base of your primer and foundation should be the same otherwise they won't play well together. Silicone-based foundations need a silicone-based primer; water-based for water based.

This. I have some texture/acne scarring and this stuff rocks. There are bad products out there but a lot of the time I think it just boils down to the person not knowing how to use it or it not being compatible with their skin/other makeup products.

if you want a small eyeshadow palette, go for one of natasha denona mini palettes, they’re $27 for 5 shadows and such great quality!

I actually love the NARS liquid blushes, especially the color “Behave”. They go on light and not overtly consuming the skin with hyper pigmented color that overpowers the cheeks and overall makeup. While I wear mine over little to no foundation and just SPF skin tint mainly, it does beautifully on my skin and gives my cheeks a kiss of warmth that I like. So, I agree that if you wear thick foundation and the whole works, it might not fair as long on your cheeks the way Rare Beauty or Juvia’s Place will.

It’s a stick foundation- it literally says “fond de teinte en stick” on the bottom. It also says tint stick which is a… foundation! 😂

I actually like the mango sticks. I'm curious, since you say they tug at the skin, I apply them by dabbing some on a brush then applying it to my face. Maybe try that method to see if you like it any better?

It’s more about the price point for what it is

The HAUS labs is meant for mature skin. It’s not meant to give high impact pigment

I got the Nars blush as training product in the shade Dolce Vita. I hate it with a passion because none of the colors will show up on me or anyone deeper toned. I can't even give it away because I feel too guilty to curse anyone with the greasy sheen lol

NO! The mango people bronzer stick is THE BEST! It doesn’t tug at all so idk what she’s saying this. I haven’t tried their blush sticks but the bronzer stick is amazing with the formula and color. I’m light skin and it’s so natural looking, it’s creamy and buildable and doesn’t fade at all.

I do not shop at Sephora anymore. I changed my whole routine! And my face and Skin have never looked better. Everything I buy is drugstore. I still use 3 makeup products from Sephora but only until I find the right dupe.

Thank you for mentioning the tightening product at the end. I had exactly that same experience. It seemed amazing when I put it on, but you can’t put any makeup on top of it, so what’s the point?

I wanted to get the nars blush until I tried it on my hand in store and they all blended away into nothing on my bare skin. I thought maybe it was the testers had gone off but other comments sound like they also couldn’t get it to show up. I’m also usually one of the lightest shades in foundation so if it’s gonna show up on anyone it would be me lol.

I love the NARS Behave and it lasts all day for me and just glows. I do have mature skin though

I feel like all the stuff they put on sale has bad reviews and doesn’t sell well. It’s always too good to be true for a reason. The only sale that has ever been good to me was when Cos Rx Snail Essence was on sale at Ulta for like $10. That was a steal.

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm X Primer isn’t worth the price or the pilling that it will cause. Gives me a headache just thinking about it!

I think mentioning your skin type in these videos would add important info. I don't disagree with you these products are as bad as you said, but products don't fit everyone the same. Or combinations of products matters like someone else mentioned here, e.g. silicone based makeup on silicone primer etc.

Jen is my most favored. But even she had me run to get Doll 10 cream blushes, which were on sale. They aren't a bad product, but I never heard anything about them after that. I never miss her postings so I'm not bad talking her but sometimes they have to act fast, and reviewing makeup is a personal opinion. But buyer beware also.
