Yo you doing pretty good job . keep it up dude. support from josh connect. Looks a bit complicated but finally you got it up running. If you could do the car chase or car follow rig as well, that would be cool.

Thank you. This was extremely helpful. One of the best gear setup videos I've seen on KZread for the DJI Rs3 on a Tilta Ring. You covered important details that others didn't cover, including Tilta themselves. I was unsure if you could balance the gimbal properly while mounted on the Tilta Ring since the Ring is slanted at a slight diagonal forward and not straight up and down like on the little tripod that comes with the DJI RS3.

So most Gimbals in rings are set at a slight angle to avoid tipping over with loads on them, so as I noted just angle it straight when balancing pan axis and you are good to go! same process for the bigger Ronin 2 as well! and we have a video for that too..

very good demonstration, thanks. allow me to add one thing, loading the ssd side card will be better from the beginning to consider the body camera weight more accurate since there will always be a card on for sure 🙌🏼

We generally always balance with media and aks.. however you should be able to account for small changes like media with the motors alone in a config like this. But good heads up I think I may have forgotten to metion that..

How are you controlling iris?

How much does this whole rig weigh (camera + lenses etc). I’m thinking of putting a c300iii on this and not sure if it’ll handle the weight (with a 24-70 canon zoom lens). Any thoughts?

A C300 stripped down can work, however we generally do not suggest a lens that extends such as the 24-70 as its very difficult to maintain balance and especially with a camera at its operating limit such as the C300

can I do this with a Ursa g2 broadcast with a sigma 18 to 35 lens?

Unfortunately the Ursa body is a bit too long for the RS3, and with that lens you would have a very hard time getting balance. Check out a MoVI Pro with Ignite Digi tilt offsets or a full size Ronin 2
