I honestly really loved Alex. She was an underrated character and her character development was great. Wish we could've seen more of her!

I liked how the show gave Alex more depth and even helped her come out of the closet but Alex and Paige was too different it organically wouldn't have lasted anyway.

Aw this was the last Alex scene of Degrassi. :(

Sad, yes, but technically Alex reappeared again in one of the Degrassi Minis that showed them in the “future”, and she and Paige briefly met up again at a high school reunion.

That was really sad. That also seemed really harsh how Paige packed Alex's bag, she didn't even have a place to live! They definitely could have worked through their issues.

I love how everything is dressed nicely and yet boom there is Alex!

Okay I get that Alex was being Lazy but the way Paige was treating her was totally uncalled for! That was such unhealthy relationship!

Alex had many opportunities to get it together Mrs h offered her referrals and part time work and so did Paige

Whoever wrote the show was wrong to make them break up because honestly I think Alex and Paige could be been together longer they really could’ve worked out their differences and rubbed off on each other

To be honest, it was better that Paige and Alex broke up, you can tell they both wanted different things, and it looked more like Paige was Bi-curious than Bisexual, it didn't seem like she was interested in any other woman other than Alex, and Alex knew that she was a full fledged Lesbian, and she knew what she wanted. Season 6, Alex was in school, working towards what she wanted, Paige was struggling with College, and eventually just worked instead. When Alex was stripping to make money, Paige had an issue with it, and in Season 7, Paige threw that in Alex face, because she wasn't doing anything with herself.

Character assassination and then she disappears🤦🏻‍♂️

I thought this arc was really inconsistent in character interaction and the way the characters behaved. Still would have liked to see a later meeting between the two, possibly at a reunion. Also, never really liked Paige.

I can honestly say after years being removed from this breakup (I'm still devastated 😭), but one thing that will get you dumped by me is embarrassing me on my job! Granted Alex was young and just got back with Paige but this was Paige's dream to be in fashion. And the fact Alex came up there being extra, and I love Alex, but I would had dumped her too with no hesitation.

I loved Alex and Paige together but honestly they’re 2 totally different people and have different goals in life and it wouldn’t have worked. I felt horrible that Alex was abused by her trashy moms boyfriend and that she had no place to go but she had no ambition! Paige and Mrs. H even tried helping her. Alex I think was very insecure about and didn’t think much of herself it’s so sad. Paige also treated her poorly. Like she knew Alex was struggling with money but yeah stripping isn’t the right way to earn money but Alex felt she had no other choice. She could have been more understanding about it. She also tried to pressure Alex about the future in earlier episodes and I understand her wanting the best for Alex but I think it was too much. Idk there relationship wasn’t gonna with. Alex’s mom is an idiot!

One thing that bothers me a lot about this show is that men and women are not treated the same, it's like, we've seen Marco being sad about Dylan; a boy who has treated him badly several times; for SEVERAL CHAPTERS, and although it has moments in which the characters want him to see reason, they are MUCH MORE understanding than with Alex, a girl who had to undress because she was going to be homeless and her mother decides to put a man for above her. Although I ship Palex and I think they should have been endgame, Paige does not deserve Alex. I don't know why they made the couple take that path, I don't know if the actress didn't even want to go out anymore or it was just bad writing on her part.

Deanna the actress who played Alex wanted out of the show because she was heading to Hollywood to try to make it as an actress there. Unfortunately that didnt happen, Deanna ended up becoming a shrink instead and is happily married.

@@fleas.8624 oh… thanks for the information, well, maybe the season in which it comes out is not the best of all, I guess it was more the writers' fault than hers for giving her character that output. The same thing happened with the JT actor, and although I suffered with his death, the truth is that I thought about it well and I don't think there was another way to get his character

Alex had a glow up

This is one of the few times where Emma wasn't the wrong one. She didn't know what she saw so she went to her friends for reassurance. Terri overheard and started a rumor then blamed Emma.

This argument works as an allegory for the conflict between the ideals of old-school, classic 2nd Wave feminism (often lesbian/gynocentric in nature) vs. the later 3rd Wave feminism (oriented more around bi and fluid sexuality).

I agree but Paige was worse. She literally kicked her girlfriend out when she knew that she had no place to go. I think that they could have really worked out their issues if they tried, but it's like Paige gave up on her.

@@Bea_1757 Yeah but Paige was under alot of stress. Alex was being lazy and was critiszing her and her job. Due to Alex's behavior, Paige ended up losing a chance at earning her dream job. Making matters worse is that Alex didn't even have a job herself and was not bringing money in to help Paige out with rent and groceries. Alex doesn't realize that with certain careers people have to start at the bottom and make their way to the top. For Paige, it was about earning her dream job and making a great salary instead of getting quick money. From Paige's point of view, would be able to stay with someone who doesn,t have a job, doesn't help you with rent and groceries, is lazy, and criticizing your dreams and the way you you try make your dreams happen? That puts a lot of strain in many relationships and causes most relationships to break. Paige breaking up with Alex and kicking her out should give Alex a wake up call.

@@GunsNSunflowers Then we never saw Alex again :( I know they had to end the Paige Alex relationship which was the best relationship ever in degrassi. They milked that for far too long at this point.

The kicker is, they both had a point, and were both right from their own perspective. However, there was no way they could fully compromise their wildly different personal ethics and world views.

This episode literally broke ma heart when Paige broke up with Alex 😭😭
