I am one of those people... always been into rock, grunge especially, and was browsing contemporary rock for anything special, found the Ohms album, and I’ve been falling in love with song after song by these guys. I’m young, so I’m not totally surprised I overlooked such an amazing band in my lifetime thus far, but wow, this band fucking rocks, and they have such a nice range, which is something I love, like compare this song to This Link is Dead and you can truly see how talented they are, and I love both ends of the spectrum!

Discovered this song "Sextape"'today 6/1/2021, absolutely unreal. Pure ecstasy, I've know about the Deftones for years now but only really liked the song Minerva, I never really listened through their discography. Sextape came through on the Spotify radio and I thought for a lil when it started playing "woahhh, what is this???" then after some critical listening I've had Sextape on repeat since. I think this music video is pure art as well, certainly captures the depth & emotion of the song, as well as this other-worldly ethereal look & feel . 💯🙌❤️

I was addicted to many drugs for many years and -certain ones- went well with relations with girls. Sort of like extra factors to add to already existing relationships. The very first album I bought with my own money was White Pony. The first concert I ever went to was to see you guys in San Jose, you were playing with Incubus and Taproot, but was there for you. I'm 36 now, and I'm so pleased to have been a fan all these years. You guys have really influenced so much music and so many people. I used to watch grainy footage of Stephen playing to try and emulate his guitar work. Now I see younger people discovering you guys and it makes me so happy for them and you! You guys deserve the attention, your work was always beyond genre.

Deftones have been my favorite since 2012 and it’s so awesome that people are discovering their music. Always better late than never

Shit man, this video reminds me of when I was 15 or 16 and whenever I hung out with a girl I really liked I would turn off all the lights in my room and put my laser projectors up on the roof. We'd lay on my bed and pretend we were looking up at the stars and the universe and talk about life and all our hopes and dreams. I'll probably never feel the way I felt in those moments again, but I have the memories. Such a weird feeling to get that after finally watching the music video to a song that I've listened to and loved for so many years...

I just found out that a lesbian couple got engaged at their concert in Indy. My respect for Deftones keeps going up!

When this song came out, I was in my 20's going very deep in a severe depression, embracing darkness more and more every day. I was feeling so bad in my life after several sad events and I once thought that suicide could be a solution... This song (and some others) gave me strength to overcome my depression and I started to live again. Whatever you are, wherever you come from, if you read me, just know that you matter. Even if none around you sees it. You matter and you deserve to live. Time heals every wound. It's not a bad life, just a bad time to go through.

I heard this song before. My friend told me that it's cool, then I listened to it but didn't really get interested and soon forgot about it. But some months later... Something very hard to deal when you're recovering from a break up is the intimate physical moments with that person, it's something unique that you will never experience again, it hurts and you miss that deeper connection again. This song definitely talks about it. Unlucky, it make me cry a little.

This song is genuinely so addictive and it gets better every time I listen to it. I like climbing on my roof top at 4 am and listening to this song on repeat, watching the sunrise. It’s life changing.

I don’t remember a time that I didn’t exist in this life now. I’m to assume that it was much better than this. Maybe that’s where we return once we leave here. With that being said, no matter how bad it may seem in this life, you will return from where you came. That to me is a reason to keep my head up through the pain. Peace ✌️

that's a good way to describe it, a glimpse, it almost feels like it was another life...the way it felt to be happy. the drive. the enthusiasm and euphoria life gives u and to love is the most beautiful thing, even the sadness is a bitch when u feel normal but yet it makes u feel alive...when u deal with depression a.k.a sadness and anxiety at the beginning when it becomes severe u just shut off, not even sadness I feel anymore just plain nothing...I would rather feel sad than nothing cause atleast u feel alive

Sounds like someone needs some My Bloody Valentine. Deftones/Chino, particularly this album and Team Sleep turned me onto shoegaze for exactly the same reason.

i used to have mutual feelings with this girl who's into deftones, she really was my type, she was pretty, weird, cool as hell, sometimes crazy, it's just that back then i really wasn't capable of handling feelings well, i had severe addiction to alcohol and high. listening to deftones now makes me wanna go back and fix myself just so i could be with that girl. but no, she's changed now, her weirdness is gone, she's not like before and that's totally fine, i'm happy with how she is right now.
