probably the best live performance they have ever done. by far. chino's vocals sound so on point

the little improv section around 3:38 and after is pretty awesome

god i remember in 2000 being in highschool when the internet was first starting to become a normal medium for content and searching yahoo forever to find something, anything by the Deftones and i came across this video. i had never seen any live performance video by them in any shape or form until I watched this. this is by far, still after all of these years, my favorite live version of change. not only were the instrumental and vocal effects amazing but Chinos live voice sounds spectacular in this. Ive always loved how he changes up the way he sings live as compared to how he sounds on a studio record, just those subtle differences on some parts of each song when he sings live is awesome.

holy shit Deftones!!!!!! i mean...how could anybody, unless you just totally dont like any form of rock music not absolutely love n appreciate this song, how fuckin hard it hits live, the emotion screaming out from every member, the lyrics! the deftones n especially this song from the first moment i heard it n the summer of 1999 thru right now has always touched feelings n me that im not sure i would have ever felt if it was not for them n "change".....this song sounds just as fuckin cool n sexy today as it did way back then!! so thank you chino n the deftones for making whatever my short time on this planet is just a lil bit cooler n making an impact on my life in ways its nearly impossible to describe!!

Could that strain be from when he damaged his vocal chords back in early 2000? I don't know if that accident has affected his present performances... Oh well, Deftones are still fucking bad ass! I've only seen them live 2 times, and of course, they never disappoint.

This is good, but for me I have to say that the version they did on letterman is the best. People say its out of tune, but i think stefs tuned it (guitar) a bit differently

Yeah I do. He damaged his vocal chords while touring sometime during/after the White Pony tour. I love the Deftones, but don't be blind. It's obvious that Chino's voice isn't as strong now as it was then.

it's still good, and so simple acid has no side effects, doesn't make you go crazy. and who ever takes cocaine should get out of my face. cocaine is for the weak.

This is before Chino fucked up his vocal chords, which is why is voice is amazing. Even though I love the deftones, his voice has been damaged since White Pony.

Deftones are God. So.. listen to God. Forever. Fuck I'm so High. It took me like 30 min . to write this shit.

its such a shame that he does not reach the high pitch notes he does in his albums... chino moreno givse such good atmospheres to deftones music... background music is heavy as shit.. and he just floats with it... such a shame... :( (still love them tho)

I honestly prefer the original video as it is, way more introspective, etc
