I was about 9 when I first heard this song and every since then they've been one of my all time favorite bands. What a great band and song and performance and video. I love them.

in video I can hear that Chino have done enough damage to his throat. He suffered an inflammation on the right vocal chord, and partly paralyzed on his left vocal chord. But God Bless Chi. Get well soon, we all miss you.

The One X I use to think the same exact thing when I started listening to Deftones but Deftones did come first. Hell, even Linkin Park said before they started, they were basically copying what Deftones were doing. Either way I’m a bigger SOAD fan, I grew up on SOAD :)

One of the first times Deftones started sounding like shit live. In other words, how they tend to generally sound during any given show today. Dont get me wrong I love Deftones but Chino 1. Drinks too much and 2. Has too many side bands now and 3. He still cups that fucking mic sometimes although not as much lately. You'll get Deftones apologists saying that performances like this are what make Deftones and Chino so great, that he improvs, and they couldn't be more fucking wrong. He blew his voice out during this tour forever changing their sound long before Chi's death did.

muse outperformed them during this festival when they were younger and far less experienced

during this concert, muse used very little distortion on the vocals. during the 04 era, it was more prominent, but it's not a crutch. just a gimmick matthew bellamy enjoys from time to time.,
