What needs to happen is, they should remake FFNY exactly, but with Icon's visuals and graphics. They need to continue from where the last story left off, and go from there. Keep the roster from FFNY, but also update it with more current rappers and action stars. Jason Statham would be a bad ass boss to have to fight against at the end. Add more arenas, more crowd interaction, deeper character customization, and most of all, ONLINE PLAY... The game would NEVER go out of style. Release it for PS4, X-Box one, and PC. And we all know, PC can make miracles as far as adding new rappers and content. I'm just sayin...

Usama Urfi I suppose you're right, but I just thought it'd be a cool idea to throw something different in the pot. He wouldn't play himself, but using his likeness and fighting style for a boss or a bad ass body guard would be pretty epic! Either way, this game is never coming back. It's sad really... DJ FFNY was one of the greatest fighting games ever made.

If they do make another Def Jam game it better be nothing like Icon. If EA was smart they would just take FFNY and re-do it, all they have to do is polish the graphics (Which isn't to hard considering that this game had the best graphics for any PS2/ Xbox game) and work out some of the bugs and release it for Xbox One/ PS4.

Me 9 years later think this was a new def jam for the ps5 and i was hyper than a sugar demon on cocaine. Only to find this was years before using the most hated game in the def jam series

I think the next game should be a multi-player 7 vrs 7 multi - player . An a one or 7 player story mode option. an i think the story needs tobe more about a crew and from its beginnings to its branch outs. in detail from each crew members point of veiw.

I was cool wit’ Icon. Only beef was it was too narrow… Should've had more variety as far as how the rappers fought… Something to distinct the each fighters' style rather than just have certain players with certain style from a choice of a few... But, the graphics, the music, the fight styles, the storyline, &, the features were tight… Would've liked to have seen more, though. FFNY was my shit, though.

This game would have been great if it has the right team behind it so it can secede but nowadays I don't know if that will ever come true I have faith in some ways but this game has some flaws that need to be worked out first of all getting a respectable roster these days is hard to do I'm sure Method Man & Redman would be back but with all the homophobic stuff and rap these days it's hard to find a decent roster future would make a pass NBA young boy maybe Young Thug is a different story Little Uzi is a different story you can bring back Snoop Dogg and Snoop Lion in the game 50 Cent Maybe
