Back then I used lots of animations extracted from various Call of Duty games, as well as publicly available animation libraries like Mixamo. After the Backrooms short I went all in on motion capture as well as obtained various commercial animation libraries found on Unreal Marketplace so that I could speed up the process and focus more on the unique stuff.

If you're talking about the fog, then that's fog contribution set to maximum on all of the back lights coupled with room dust particle system doing its thing. As for the windows, that was done in post. I just cranked bleach bypass to the max so it dramatically crushed the highlights. Not sure how it works in any other editor or plugins, but I use now discontinued Ignite Pro plugins for Vegas.
