Fair point, but I don’t think that the point relies upon that one example. The league is too entitled, soft, buddy-buddy now. It’s not competitive like it used to be. There are a number of factors for it, but I don’t even know that it’s worth hashing out. I can say that I used to eat, sleep, breathe NBA ball. This year I will probably watch fewer than 10 games, and I honestly don’t miss it. I watched the Saturday Night events, and the only one that seemed to have any sense of urgency or compete level was the Steph vs Sabrina shootout. Seeing the alleged All-Stars lose to the hometown team in a skills contest was EMBARRASSING. I couldn’t even be bothered to watch Sunday.

What's really crazy to me about this video is that Jordan couldn't shoot for shit his first couple years in the league, but in true Jordan form, he worked his ass off to develop a jump shot and when he retired he had one of the best mid-range jumpers the NBA has seen, and that's not easy. He even changed his form which a lot of players don't do because it's hard to break a bad habit after shooting a specific way your whole life.

They played defense the last few minutes of every All-Star game in the 90s stopped that. And they really was playing defense nobody winscore over 120 points
KG spoiled that all-time moment. He tied it up.

We are never going to see a all star game like this ever again shoutout to the legends. Now it ain't even worth watching they don't even try to compete.
The golden Era of hoops.
I use to love watching basketball in the 90's and early 2000s I would be at home clapping and screaming like I was there, nowadays I haven't watched a full game since Kobe retired and haven't even turned the TV on Allstars weekend since Gordon and Lavine

There are no more players that have enough self-respect to prove they are the best, even if the game doesn't matter.
Whats most glaring is the response of the other players. Everyone expected mike to take that shot and when he made it, you can see how affected everyone was at seeing Greatness. That wasnt a one off either. Shawn played great D.
Props to Shawn for trying. That was great defense. 👍

Interesting choice to choose the final seconds of a tied, overtime game, and compare it to the first quarter of another.

I never made plans once all Star weekend had arrived. Glued to my tv set because it was such an entertaining weekend of basketball. I stopped watching it probably since 2008. It was around that point that it started to suck!
Yeah I can't remember the last time I felt I needed to see the allstar game.

he is a great defender. one of the best in his era.
Great video till the end...
that dunk 😱🐐
The competitive defense can be revive if they follow the rules in the 90's It's not the players fault it's the rule itself
