Do the neighbors know that a master marksman lives in their neighborhood and is protecting them from tiny flying dinosaurs?

There is no point. The sparrows and starlings are pretty adaptable creatures so the population isn’t going to decrease anytime soon. As long as humans are around, sparrows and starlings will be in our vicinity.

That's awesome about Ted. He always tells a story, a story based on a three acts structure. Just like a movie. It's never about just the shooting.
In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his skin blistered by the Summer sun and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Wisconsin Plains seeking vengeance against the dark birds who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Tree swallows, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him... the Sparrow Slayer.

I am so jealous. I don't have the habitat for Tree Swallows. They are gorgeous. I was backpacking once on a levee around Lake Moultrie in South Carolina and came upon a flock of thousands of Tree Swallows in migration. They were taking a rest on the levee. As I walked they would take off just in front of me and swirl around and land behind. Bright green jewels all around. Marvelous.
Just take it far away and let it go somewhere else 🙄 😂 For a few seconds I fell for the "sparrow martini" bit 😂😂😂
I'm 20 now, I used to watch your videos when I was 12, still remember being amazed at how good of a shot you are. Now that I have the wallet of a 20 year old, and live in dense woods with little neighbors. A good air rifle does sound.... dangerously tempting.
Ted every year this video pops up and every year I watch it again. I am a Purple Martin landlord and I have 40 houses on my property. As you probably know Purple Martins live in colonies and they are defenseless against starlings and English house sparrows. They are a member of the swallow family and therefore are cavity nesters. I love these little devils and I dispatch a number of invasive species every year. My plan C is not as sophisticated as yours but it’s just as effective. Thank you
EASILY the most entertaining Ted'sHoldOver. The forehead slap really got me.
Awesome. Humorous discussion on proper care for our environment.

It's going to be a good day. I get to work. Turn on KZread and what do I see?!? A new Ted video! Awesome sauce!
Great part 2. Ive spent hours watching your stuff in the past so im so glad your back and making great videos.
Dozens of sparrows visit my feeders and houses that I have for my local doves. For along time they got away with it then a peregrine falcon moved in across the block and takes care of the problem lol. Little guys get all plumped up and then he picks them off. Amazing site hell dive and swoop in faster than you can blink. He has never bothered the doves either , I’m assuming their too large for him.
I love you Ted! I’m so happy you posted another video about this topic specifically! I too have an infestation of English sparrows where I live, and they’re constantly trying to steal the bird house’s I put out for the swallows... I love that you are keeping up the good fight, and really do appreciate the new methods outlined in your video. Thanks buddy, keep up the good work🤙👍👍

I've been watching ted since late 2012! He's what got me into PCP air rifles, That and I've always loved marksmanship. Squirrels at 80 yards off my feeders are always a blast and taste delicious.
As usual, excellent content, and educational as well! Heads and shoulders above the rest
Ted. Pt 2 Very good, liked pt 1 even better. I have year round swallows nesting in out shooting range building providing some inter species communication. If I arrive out there before sun up, throw on the lights and start using real noise makers they let me know about it. So they trained me to shoot PCP's first. They build their mud nests first, perch on the magnetic door locks for warmth, fly through the triangular door hand gaps which are narrower than their wingspan and are good company. During the day they stay out unless rearing young. It is enjoyable being able to walk within 8 feet of them. Keep up the preservation of the better species.
These modern day PCP air rifles are so quiet that you can fairly easily get away with shooting them in the city and I find it amazing
"I'm getting kinda dark." Like the light in those sparrows eyes when you lace them against the barn.
"Evict with extreme prejudice." LMAO

Great video Ted. You are quite right, stay vigilant, we might not get them all, but not getting anything at all, is no good either. We keep on fighting the good fight.
Great video. For years a male red wing black bird wakes me up at 5:00 AM ... He is letting everyone know this is his area. Thanks to your video he will live one more year. Lol half way through your video I was plotting to be able to sleeping until 6:00, WITH MY WINDOWS OPEN IN THE SUMMER. Your video saves lives... (male redwing blackbirds) Keep up the great videos.

Great video Ted . I loved the info .
i love how some of ur methods would make ppl so upset but i think it’s hilarious
I love your humor! And your arsenal!
I got those swallows all over my duck pond and trees. They are like fighter pilots, zooming in and out picking off the flies and bugs. Thanks for the idea on those bird houses. I started off out here with four, and now they've multiplied to a dozen. Every morning and evening killing bugs. If I am watering my trees, sometimes one will hover in the spray to cool off. They are extremely friendly. One sits on the security light under the roof, and I was thinking it would nest. I better build some pole houses this winter.
You may not think of it this way, but you have a very unique way of making videos that is very entertaining and informative. If i may be so bold, i kinda want to learn. I know we can expect less and less of these videos as time passes by, especially if youtube is going to make things hard, but since i got out of high school 8 years ago, your videos served as a gateway to the outdoors. If you ever come down to vegas for shot show make sure to post it up!

That was a highly entertaining 10 mins. This was one of the best posts you’ve made. Informative for the uneducated, providing several different ‘options’, entertaining ones even! (I still like plan B the best). I’m compelled to add that you largely motivated me to I eradicate an entire lineage of starlings, about 18 in all, nesting nearby my place. Since, I have seen so many new species, and a couple of rare birds populate the area. Problem is now I have nothing to shoot at ;-) Thanks for making quality over quantity.
Really enjoyed that Ted. Very entertaining and even made my wife laugh. Keep them coming mate. :-)
