No side is ready for a compromise or cease fire. Both are armed and still considered protected against use of the army or any heavy equipment. There are like 20 militant groups. Central forces are deployed along with police but the police itself has some soft corners for the militants. Uk some are family members. It's a very convoluted situation. The people have lost trust. Manipur along with ne has faced discrimination since 1970's these militants are not ready to back down.

Spare parts you don't want mirages falling out of the sky. Plus buying 5th gen from usa would make it useless against China as usa still has a close economic tie with China. We use too much force against China the Chinese shut down factories and us Ecom struggles, us gov stops maintenance for Indian jets and the jets become useless. Heck even Ukraine cannot use jets given by nato countries in regions with high Russian control.
