This build definitely helps but the manufactories which are in open seas were still insanely tough. This one will help last out till we get the update. Cheers mate! 🍻

On wave five I've been getting 30 ships plus and there snipping with bolts and motars

I used a slightly different idea when it came to my build. I put the zam 3’s on front and ran the fire bombard 3’s the rest of the way around with the Leopold 3 in the aux. It seems to work well especially with the area of effect spreads to the other ships

I think, if they would allow repairs on the settlements during defense, it would be much better. Like spend a repair kit on the town. all cooldowns activate on healing as usual. Can't heal yourself if you just healed the town.

Seen people saying theyre having a lot of trouble with manufactory defence, granted iv only defended manufactories no higher than lvl 7 so far but the sambuk has been plowing through them for me. Iv done about 3 ship upgrades, have the new torpedos on front, standard fire bombard 3’s on sides, also have the bucaneers oath as armor, fire long gun on the back, and i think leopole as mortar. Honestly kinda makes me laugh how many people use brig or barque for activities where you need high damage output, I just feel the sambuk is king.

I take everything I said back, I just tried to defend du bois lumberyard (upgrade level 7) and at wave 5 they sent like 25-30 ships at once, it was dumb you couldnt fire fast enough.

It was worse on day 1. They nerfed it in a server side patch when we all complained and chose not to play the game for few days. It’s still shit but manageable

Awesome build as all way's Death i set mine up slightly different using the megaphone all ready no upgrades on the sambuk it works really well if you use the new demi-cannon the Faule llse the ricochet talent helps spread the shoot around to proc it and has an added bonus of having piercing III on it as well...

But isn’t the whole point of the sambuk to spread fire, the new Demi cannon doesn’t have fire on it does it?

That smugger pass armor against torpedos is good. The ricochet dems would clean house. The new rockets on the Sammy are wild. The sailing against the wind is back 😂

How do You have those "impact in" and all those state effects of the ships shown as icons?

I was shocked at how difficult it was to do this solo. have a feeling they will nerf the defense difficulty in the near future. I got the chance to do one last night (only a level 7) and I quickly realized that I did not have the right build for the job and was thinking a Sambuc would work best. Got to the 3rd wave and failed albeit I was trying to defend a open sea location with no towers. One thing i though was cool is that NPC ships will help you in the defense and i was using a Barque build. My ship was healing the NPC ships helping me.

Well looks like i need to get this warhammer thing immediately

I soloed twice without a problem using the Sambuk. Last one was close, but the first one wasn't bad. Didn't even know it was a problem till I saw your earlier video.

Zama in the front, Fire Bombards on the sides and rear. Hit the ships further out in groups.

Remember you'll get a 6th furniture slot when you upgrade it

If u go with sambuk fire bombards build u can do Lvl 10 defenses even without towers tbh

Ive failed all mine at level4s and still get slaughtered im using the snow though so different ship which so far is my strongest ship but still stand no chance during defense

East indies is the most lucrative as they produce the most in a short amount of time. Where he’s at in the video, out the channel and down to telok is a good start or the line of factories to the left of telok is also a good start.

Its doable, and actually challenging content. I hope they dont nerf it. The risk/reward gameplay is what was missing in this game...we finally got it ...then people complain about not goin back to farm sim p08..i dont understand why people want more of the same S1 boring/brain dead content.

I like challenges too, but I don't think we should put a soft wall on progression with mandatory events that require later game builds. I feel like the current state of defense would miserable for most fresh kingpins.

Nice done 2 defends one I failed miserably and the second one I had help from my mates, but the draw back of getting helped it’s that the town am defending starts to attack me and my mates 😂😂😂 like WTF?

losing my lvl 10 manufactory made me quit the game, so much effort and time just to take it away for 14hours due to this absolutely horrendous defense mechanic what a waste of time this piece of crap game is. no fun whatsoever just frustration due to massive drug use at ubisoft i suppose. how can any sane person come up with this crap.

so you cant collect Po8 from 1 manufactory...and thats it? Po8 is the only reason you logg on? wow. Farm sim is the only thing the game has to offer?

@insurrection8744 No, the time and effort it took to upgrade said manufactory, just for it to be completely nullified by a broken game mechanic, makes any effort put in futile. You need the po8 to continue upgrading ships etc. It's not about farming it's about working towards something and it being stifled by bullshit.

@@saus9870 you should never invest all ur resources in one manufactory in the first place. By the time u get one to lvl 10, u should already have many others at 10 or close to reaching 10
