You have no idea how long I have been looking for this. I saw the original on HBO 2-3 years ago and I never caught the name of the poet (Oscar Brown, Jr.) I tried to find out who this wonderful man was with this wonderful poem all these years. This is my favorite poem of all time, and I usually say that, and don't mean it, but this is my favorite! I've NEVER heard anything like it. My freshman year, I found this, and watched it AT LEAST 3 times a day. I even memorized it, though I've forgotten some since then.
