Def Leppard was my favourite Heavy Rock band when I was a teenager during the mid- late eighties. I still have one of their concerts on VHS called In The Round In Your Face. I guess it was named after the name given to a concert with the stage in the middle of an arena as described in the video. Steve Clark wrote and played my all time heavy rock instrumental tune, Switch 625. I was so much into Def Leppard, Poison, KISS that I never didn't know about Journey or even that there was a Rock genre called AOR at the same time although I had heard of Survivor courtesy of the song "Eye Of The Tiger". Nowadays I listen mostly to AOR especially the band Pride Of Lions founded by Jim Peterik one of the founding members of Survivor. It's wonderful how Rock music has changed and almost recycled from the eighties untill now. I actually saw Journey support Def Leppard in Dublin, Eire. I live in Northern Ireland.

Coolest thing about the "in the round" stage was that it actually rotated so everyone was able, at some point in the show, to have a full frontal view of the whole band! 🤘🏼🇬🇧🤘🏼

My fave band. 💯🙌💞Saw them in Detroit, MI in 1996 for the SLANG TOUR and I hadn’t even planned on going but we were given tickets last minute so we said sure! I Finished working a midnight shift then I drove 5 hours to see them! (Came from Canada). Last minute decision but THE. BEST. ONE. EVER!!! We actually ended up moving up to vip area. LOL. I can’t remember exactly how but … 🤭😏😂 Best seats!!! Sadly they were here in Canada on Aug 8/22 but I was studying for an important exam so I couldn’t take time off to go! Disappointed to say the least!!! 😢😔🥺😭 I enjoyed watching this! Thanks buddy. ☺️💕

Not surprised they got the druming.line up wrong. Yes tony kenning was obviously the first but Rick is actually the third. The second drummer was a guy named frank noon who actually plays the drums on the def Leppard EP . He was asked to be. Full member but declined. That's when they put the ad out Leppard losses skins and ricks mother made the call for him

At this time still together…compared…to other bands that disbanded or fired band members due to politics within the band.

The police giving the statement that Allen was clearly intoxicated and his girlfriend at the time confirmed it. Heck, even MTV and VH1 did several stories on it. Allen also had a history of beating his girlfriends while intoxicated during the 90s. Not one band member disputed any of it. So, yeah. Rick Allen lost his arm from jackassory on his part. Luckily for Joe, his voice was better than his guitar skills =D. Phil & Steve eventually let Joe play a small rhythm section during the hysteria tour "live" and as soon as the song was over they took it away lol. However, Joe came up with the guitar hook for sugar which is one of their biggest all-time hits - even though he's not as skilled as Phil =)
