I played this game when I was 12 and my brother was 13. Mom hated the swearing and fighting in it so she hid the game from us. Everytime we got home from school we played this and rushed to hide the game when she was pulling in the driveway from work 😂 watching this brought so many good memories back

Because of the last part “online” online gaming has ruined creativity for a lot of games and has made a lot of games lackluster what games win game of the year every year? Story mode games because they put all their time into making a great story and gameplay mechanics and Easter eggs and etc online gaming has made dev teams have to split their focus which kills potential sometimes

Honestly, this game had such a nice and realized art style that apart from some muddy textures, this holds up REALLY well.

Holy fuck this game was a masterpiece! Remaster. Now.

This game was mad dope. This and NBA/NFL Street games had that recipe for so much fun. All of the cool ghetto culture from the 2000s, your character is customizable in all the ways you want, and you progressively get better as the story goes along with the better content getting more exciting as you progress. This game will forever be a fond memory of mine.

It's possible for him to have come to that conclusion during a lapse in time as a lesson, contemplating his mistakes but this was fast. Then again, maybe the second chance and the near death experience made him come to his senses, or maybe the car ride helped them come to an understanding. I'd like to see a one off comic on that idea.

There's a PS2 emulator that runs the game, I don't remember exactly the name. Once you have it, you download the iso of def jam and you're ready to go.

I wish they'd remaster this and release it on steam. I had character almost on point to me on there and the fighting was SO FUN. The counter, feint, blocks, parries are all top notch and the finishers are EPIC.

KB base mixed with MA and SF created my best fighter. He was very good at reversals and striking and decent at grappling, but could use the KB clinching moves to drain health from near-red to red. The haymaker he had was a straight right hand instead of the looping punch, so it covered distance as he moved forward while punch

1.5 It’s not as simple as them being smart. There is probably a whole bunch of licensing issues due to the likenesses of all the artists in the game plus the music. It’s why some some old GTAs are missing certain songs. Licenses expire.

Always been a Metal Sh!t Head But man do I remember first playing that game and thinking to myself : Having actual rappers in a fighting is brilliant! I second anyone saying we need Def Jam back!

This game deserves a rerelease. Its a classic game

The end of this video caught me off guard with the music 😂

This 1 is an all time favorite. My siblings and I had it years ago. My kids and I 💘 it even now( maybe 20+ yrs later) Its still 1 of the more 🆒er fighting games to date. If it was ever to be remastered OH WOW😱👍🏿

No matter how many video games I play, Def Jam will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart. A very special place. So special I downloaded an emulator on my phone so I could play it whenever, wherever I want.
