I played this on the Gamecube..... You're stuck with ONE voice on the Gamecube, so you could have some 500 pound MONSTER, and he would sound like some squeaker....

i beat the story mode 7 times with 7 different created fighters, never gets old, it sucks that Icon didn't do a follow up story for this like FFNY did for Vendetta

Man the acting and facial expressions on this game, the fighting gameplay, how you level up is what made this game sooooo gooood! It's too bad that fighting games in this day and age are just a glorified eye candy showcase....

I recently played this game on my little cousins Gamecube and I mustve had a lot of patience as a kid cause the matches take forever! I remember beating the game too

What a battle. Def Jam - Fight for NY is a legendary game. One of the best fighting games of all time. I’m so addicted to it I’ve been playing it on my iPhone to enjoy it when ever I can (I’ve even posted some videos of it). Amazing that you can play such an amazing game on your phone nowadays.

What made this game so great, at least to me, was the fighting system. Being able to mix the 5 styles together was just crazy back then. The fact that it changed the moves and gave such a nice hybrid.. WHY did they replace the engine they had with that horrible one in Icon!? All they needed to do was give it a graphical ugprade! Add i dunno, 3 or 4 new styles, toss online, keep the rest the same. It would have been the end all, the epic. A place where e-peens were born and castrated...

I remember I loved Vendetta as a kid and I didn't even realize there was a 2nd game until around '09 so I bought that as soon as possible, then I found out there was a game called Icon, I was told to avoid that

Antwon Mianus nah still would need better gameplay without the crappy bass knockout shit and lame graphics and horrible customization. Songs were probably the only good thing there but other than that whole game was pure shit man.

XRobXNiceboyX95X and I wouldve been better if they had female fighters on that game too. Like Li'l Kim , Mariah Carey, and other aspects of DEFJAM franchise.

I loved this game until my little brother found it and broke it in half :(.
