That noise is coming from the solenoids

Nice to see this beast goin strong! This thing always sounds nice, love how can really hear the solenoids clicking away. Also sounds like it has a bit of a blower leak, lets hope they fix that other then just putting it out of service.

I love the ambience of it when the horn isn't facing the camera

@@Nemesis0142 It is hard to notice when it does Hi-Lo, but when it does alert you can hear that it's not as raspy as a Thunderbolt usually is.

Nice! Sweet high low signal! And it sounds like Sarnias Tbolt 1003 at the refinery...

Yea still runs good..heard it a few days ago for a run. This unit was installed in 1978 replacing Diaphones

A town near me had a inactive 1003 from 1963 (according to the manufacture number) that got taken off a school to be put on display a few block down from the original location in the spring, sadly I doubt its gonna be working again but its still cool though

The best one I have heard to date. I just hope they give it a good sandblasting, a fresh coat of paint, and some TLC.

Because it is set on chopper level 3 and has half the ports. So the chopper is going at twice the speed of a cs8 but sounds just like it as it has half the ports

I have a tbolt 1000a at the fire department and then back in 2010 they replaced it and put it on display and then I bought it it was for sale $ $6,000 can I refurbished it me and my papa help me to get the chopper running again and then we did one last test last year and then we gave it away to to Auburn and then a month ago it just broke again

They replaced it they gave it back to us to fix it again but then we took it to the graveyard so the people at the graveyard can fix it and they couldn't fix it so they had a later on blood graveyard in Michigan
