Same, but for a different reason. NOT 1 OF MY BUDDY'S could cook worth a SHIT! If we went skunk it was last years canned B.S. whatever with instant coffee, and NOBODY thought to bring anything sweet for after "dinner" if they brought anything at ALL. It was beer/ammo/and firewood, in THAT ORDER, and that's it! Nearest store was 15 miles away. Michigan's Upper Peninsula can be very cruel, lol.

Ain't Nuttin Like It, That's An A Nice Setup, Last Deer Camp We Had Was A Big Wall Tent , But Heye , It was Heated , We Had A Buck Pole, Running Water from a Old Well that Was There, Close enough we could spend the entire hunting season weekends Up there if We Wanted, And we did A lot, Those Were Great Times,,

I used to hunt with a bunch of old men an cops in an old farmhouse in newmatamoris about 20 back this was in the 70s was some monsters in there dad was going to buy the farm an the guys name was forest stump. He died the night we got there.his step dotter got it so that was the endow that I miss it so bad yall brought back some memories though 😪 😔 🤧 I'm 59 now all them guys are gone but we had alot of fun I could tell you some dam good ones.

Ok guys first of all I loved the video . I also think I heard you say someone was in Ripley . That’s my family’s stomping ground . I am 53 years old and have never been in Ohio in my life for Thanksgiving . I get it guys the greatest place to be this time of year . Looks like you guys got it going on for shure .If you guys are close to Ripley we would love to meet up with you guys next year. We actually hunt my uncles farm in Frozen camp. It’s about half way between Ripley and Spencer . You guys definatly have a new subscriber. I sure miss some of the guys we used to have in our group that have since passed . My grandpa would have been right there with us .God I miss those guys we’ve lost . Happy holidays and thank you so much for the vids . My kinda deer camp. Man I miss doing this with the guys but unfortunately a member of our club bought the place who wasn't apart of our traditions without us knowing an he was from another state and knocked down our cabin an built a big house on it. Now he think that we all suppose to still be good friends. He screwed up a 30 year tradition us an now we've all split up an staying in different places. It not fun anymore. Here in Tennessee there’s some resentment building up around out a staters buying up all the land and out pricing/out bidding locals and paying CRAZY amounts of money for land. Seen many a tense morning at the local hang out store during hunting season the last several years when obvious non locals come in. Just curious.

@@SimanBrothersOutdoors it is. Especially when they are rude and LOUD. The ones that are the most disliked seem to come from New York and New Jersey. Not that they are all like that. There are some real friendly and polite guys too, but the resentment is still there. Especially when someone has kids and young families just starting out and can’t find or afford the available homes and land. People have started to sell pieces of their land but only to young locals and at affordable prices. Just to keep them here. Otherwise they have to move away. We moved and I bought my 40 acre homestead with a 3 bedroom house and a barn 5 years ago for $192k. It was just appraised for a equity loan in August for $498k! We will never sell. It will cost at LEAST that to buy something else. Again, that’s just the appraisal and people were getting offers of $75k-$100k over their asking price as SOON as it it’s posted! Got REALLY bad in 2020 during Covid

It seems you missed the point of the video brother, deer camp isn’t about that. If you check out the channel you’ll see we devote our entire year to chasing mature whitetails, but deer camp is where we kick back and simply hunt “old school”. No stressing about age, size, all that extra stuff.
