Deer Antler Crafts

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video shows you several deer antler crafts I've made over the years. Male whitetails shed their antlers every year, so there should be an endless supply. Deer antler is a great renewable resource and a very strong material. It can be carved, shaped, turned on the lathe, and polished. You can add deer antler to your wooden projects as beautiful accents.
Perhaps you're a shed hunter or deer hunter or into bushcraft | primitive skills. There's much more you can do with deer antler besides mounting to the wall.
I get most of my antlers from shed hunting or ordering them online.
I hope you enjoy these tutorials!

Hi! I have some problems with painting a antlers. Do you usr some colours? Are they penetrate deep in to the material or just give colour to the surface?

@@rainmanworks5175 Goto the internet and Google dye-stabilized deer antler. I think that is what you will need to do. I have not done this. I have applied dye directly, but it will only penetrate so far. You probably need this stabilization process to infuse the dye all the way through.
