Deeper Chirp+ 2 Fish Finder, Sounding Out The Freeway Dam

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I used my Deeper Chirp+ 2 to sound out the Freeway Dam, one of my favourite local fishing spots. The Chirp+ 2 uses Chirp fish finder technology and is the flagship castable fish finder from the Deeper range of sonars.

Another brilliant video, Robbie! Very interesting to learn how the dam was established naturally having used the land for surrounding roads. Having said that,I have a really silly question for you! How did the dam, which was once a big dry hole in the ground, end up with fish in it? Was it stocked? How do fish end up there? Sorry for my ignorance. Keep up the great work as always, Robbie. Your videos continue to make my day every day!

Thank you so much mate. I have had probably 5 or 6 people tell me that they stocked redfin in there. Haha The carp would have swam in with the floods. They live in farm dams and move around during the floods.

I guess the upside of it being an artificial waterway without many bits of tree and stuff in there, is that you could throw lures in there all day and not get busted off on something. Speaking of deep water, don't get washed away in the rain headed your way

Righto robbie youve convinced me to go back and have a flick. Ive tried blades a few times at the freeway and come up no good. If the reddies are there im pulling out the vintage lures i found at lake king rutherglen before the shire ruined it, reshaped it and made it a wading pool for mozzies and ducks. Was a good fishing lake for the kids for generations, reddies, carp, tench and yellas, would you believe even an eel was pulled out of there once upon a time........ The old brass numbers will get those fat reddies. I hope.
