Loved the video @Noxus! Can't wait for the next video man! Glad to see the Deeper and Darker mod get some Time in the Spotlight. It seems like the Main Point is the Armor and Tools as well as Continued caution of the Warden and the Skulk Blocks. Looks neat and I might give it a try as well!

Don’t know if u have it already but another dimensional add on I highly recommend is The Undergarden

this mod is really good! hope mojang takes some inspiration when eventually working on the deep dark "portal"

@@osryr i think they will, but only a few years in the future, as their focus now is on the overworld from what i understand. And there is still the end dimention to update. But i believe its possible they actually do it one day.

I always wonder how you show stills of you carrying weapons whilst posing. Is that a part of the armor statues? Also, great video! Quality never falls.

tbh I just zone out when I hear that the mod (or any mod) adds upgrades to tools and armor that is just better than the vanilla stuff, just so boring

NGL, this mod is wasted potential. The entire dimension only seems to exist for the armor set. Literally every mob drop is nothing but an ingredient for the set. And the set doesn't even do anything creative either, it's just netherite armor with better stats. Of course, you could say the same about the end only existing to house the dragon and elytra, but its not like people praise the end. I dont understand the praise this mod gets

Modern dimension mods seem bland ngl. All the good ones came from older times. You don't see mods like the aether, the betweenlands and twilight forest nowadays. Hell even blue skies, one of the better dimension mods nowadays, originated in 1.12

@@gmalamat1393 blue skies actually started development back in like 1.6 iirc according to one of the devs Modern dimension mods kind of suck because there aint much that make them stand out I like Blue Skies and Undergarden the most from the modern dimension mods

@@IcyCaeli makes sense that blue skies kept that kind of uniqueness old dimension mods used to have then. I think undergarden has potential but it still needs a bunch of polish imo

I feel like there was more room for creativity here in this mod. It's not the greatest but it's definitely interesting and, as you said, expands on existing parts of gameplay. First is the trees, I think the biome is beautiful and it's cool how it's a safer biome but not completely safe, it's like the Other Side's own Warped Forest... which is the problem. It's _too_ much like the Warped Forest. Look at the trees, they have glowing blocks just like Shroomlights and the biome is safer than any other in the dimension. For a cave biome named "The Deep Dark" I would expect a dimension where the stuff originates to not have any natural light at all, to be honest. Though this dimension seems to build off of Matpat's theory about the Warden and by extension the Sculk, it does a pretty good job of it. From just a surface-level analysis based off of his theory, I would guess the Shattered are the ancient builder race who died there and whose corpses became hosts for Sculk. The temples seem to be last-ditch attempts at escape as well. I think this mod could benefit from a boss mob as well, though the Warden and Stalker seem to do the job well enough. It's a great mod and it adds some expansion to many questions people have about the Deep Dark, Sculk and the Ancient Cities overall, though I can't help but want a little more.

Wait.. to get the helmet in order to sneak around the deep dark is to kill the warden?? Isn't the point of having the desire of the hat, to have it before you get into the deep dark? Plus if your not planning on using wacky tactics to kill the warden and you just found the deep dark in your world, you wouldn't be able to defeat the warden... The warden is really difficult!

but the warden didnt even give me any hearts i kill them like 1000times but no luck

There is mod for that which is called "Carry On" you can pick up and carry any entity with this mod and it's highly customizable as well.

Ahh yes. "Just defeat the Warden". Like I do that every day. If I'm at the point where I can defeat a Warden, I don't need anything this mod adds. What even is the point? These mods have some real dumb gatekeeping at times...

Mid and over rated. The armor is boring and the elytra is kind of a lame upgrade. The mobs don't do anything useful and neither does the majority of each biome. Definitely needs updated before I'm even going to consider using it.

The fact that the stalker has such a low chance of spawning is absolutely the worst part of this mod. I understand it's still in active development but for the love of God, I shouldn't have to run around for 3 hours to find a temple and NOT get at least a single crystal.

the trees ruin it

For a dimension that requires you to kill a warden its incredibly underwhelming and the loot from the structure is honestly garbage. Only highlights are the design of the armor, and elytra variant. The dimension itself felt like a slog, and after i got the crystal needed for the wings i was so glad glad id never have to go back. This mod needs a massive overhaul tbh.
