My craft has taken a complete 180 recently (actually right now it's only turned 90° but I'm it's going to eventually take a full 180° turn soon). A part of the reading you did for yourself also resonated with me. My spirit guides/team have been nudging me to start looking at myself and what my truth is. What makes me happy, and to actually be my true authentic self (something that I struggle with). All in all I just find it interesting how other people are going through similar experiences rn.

This year I am focusing on deepening my spiritual path and I'm doing all I can to learn what practices I connect with (tarot, candle magic, spells etc) so I can just live my authentic self. I appreciate the knowledge and thoughts you share from your own journey. I'd love to hear what you're reading both witchy/path related or just general fiction or NF books - I'm always reading and book recommendations are always welcome. Thank you for another lovely video, you have a lovely calm presence and confidence that I hope to gain myself.

On the local plant connection... if you haven't yet, maybe check out Scott Kloos and his book on northwest herbs. Enjoy your quiet time and getting to know your local plant allies. ❤

Hello hello, I definitely resonate with the idea that a new year does not necessarily equal new ideas. Being an Earth-centered-spiritual person, I utilize all of winter for reflection. These are the months we work through trauma, establish healing practices, and implement regimens that support our body/minds/spirit for the remainder of the year. The key word in all of this is 'months'. A single day (new years day) should not establish the outlook for our entire year. Anywho, that is my small soapbox. Your content has always been thoughtful. Areas that may be of interest to the community (maybe for you..?) would be expanding on concepts from your book. Examples include: how you've been working with ideas of deity, where you are at currently, and resources that you found helpful. Pretty much anything philosophical is golden. If there are major influences on your practice or for your beliefs, include references that we can rabbit-hole dive into. Final idea could be hedge crossing techniques or practices. What works for you and why....

I moved to a new place this last year and connecting myself to the land, plants, and animals that are here took a long time. It's like starting any new relationship and it needs consistency, but when you need them for your craft they'll be there for you. Blessings for you as you connect with your new home and your new spirit allies!

i have felt the same way abt the “start of the cycle” january 1 just isn’t it for me. i’ll most likely celebrate the new cycle on the spring equinox which just so happens to be my birthday. i 100% agree it’s hard to feel anew when we’re in the depths of winter like this.

The past 6 months I've been living in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. And I definitely understand growing more locally. Always been a southern witch though.

I am always interested in watching anything a content creator creates at any point in time during their life and one's roadmap of self and Earth life... Your paradigmn you offer is uncanny and I suggest exploration with brio and concisión.

land spirits don´t live in the cemetaries, human spirits do :) human spirits of strangers.. (feels wrong to me) here they avoided the graves, because there was nothing there, just the physical remains (all the souls had gone to different directions after death, sometimes one stayed with the bones and disappeared ultimately, as did the natural graves). even the memory (one of the souls) was considered elsewhere, usually the favourite place of the person (one of my uncles used to sit on a porch, that´s where i saw him many years after him passing down). i haven´t had any supernatural experiences though, that was just his memory :) from what i´ve read land spirits live on the land, they own the land (they are the first of the first people, not the last of the first people).

There is a TON of old folklore of cemetery land spirits such as tree spirits - Willow folklore for example. Considering churches were often built on ancient holy sites there tend to be pre-existing land spirits and the same can be said for cemeteries. If there is land, there is land spirits :))

i thought about it a little more.. at least here in northern europe i don´t think they acknowledged the previous peoples, or at least the names of the land spirits are mostly in their (our) own language (it´s often big rocks and such, the sami people call them seita or sieidi stones, most of which have a story related to them). what did happen is that often the previous inhabitants turned into fairy beliefs (that´s how you get all the fantasy races, like giants). they didn´t just throw away old, it´s just that in the natural living not much of the old survives! still my advice would be to find your own places and create your own stories (choosing present over past). and aren´t those cemetary spirits unhappy, because they didn´t make it to their destination? i can´t even bare to think about it, single soul beliefs never make no sense to me (very bad design).

another point is that a lot of the grave traditions are from the upper classes. they can´t stand the thought of their legacy disappearing, hence the pyramids and all that unnatural shit (these are people who went against nature, against folk). so instead you could study how the locals (natives) did their graves.. i´m pretty sure it wasn´t building stone monuments (grave stones) in fences areas (all going to some weird male heaven, with male angels, it was males only, probably, originally, because women were considered second rate in patriarchal cultures). you can even see that same thinking in our northern customs.. because they say that men can be reborn five times but women only four! wtf! have you met any good women! (to the shaman who made that up, you suck)
