The cloak/mwd trick should start with the cloak and then with mwd. When you activate your cloak you can still activate non agressive modules for like 1-3 (?) seconds, so this works in this order. If you press them at the same time and for some weird reason it registers the mwd first and the cloak one sec later you'll get the sig bloom of the mwd uncloaked which makes you easier to lock.

Great guide! One thing I'd add on the Cloak/warp trick: If there's any object within 2000m of you as you start moving, you won't be able to engage your cloak and could be vulnerable. It's rare, but it can happen. If it's another ship, often you can wait for it to move away or jump out during your jump cloak timer. If this happens and the gate is camped, a gate crash might be the best option for survival, rather than trying to warp away with the slow align/acceleration time of a DST.

Great guide. I personally use Impel as an Amarrian, it is slightly different from Occator, its the only industrial that have 7 low slots, meaning you have more tank, but 2 mid slots versus 3, MJD is a must, so second slot is MWD and i can't fit afterburner. In my opinion triple propulsion Occator is little better, it can save your fat ass if you go back into gate and scrambled (mwd turns off), it can give you quite chance to get back to gate. High slots are the same. I fly mostly in 0.0, but as you said, this is a must have for a wormhole operations. You can bring everything in one run - starbase, modules, fuel, ammo for guns etc. for low mass cost of going trough wormhole. And start your WH production right away!

One thing you should be aware of is, that when you are in fleet, everyone in that fleet can acces the fleet hangar, if you don't uncheck the acces button. So, if some random invites you into a fleet while you use a DST, if thats not weird enough, and you accept, they might get acces to your fleethangar.

A few things I think you should add is the importance of the ability to use a micro jump drive and its native warp scram resistance. I live in wormholes and that mjd has been crucial to getting out of an interdictor bubble. You can almost do the mwd cloak trick with it. Spool it then cloak. You will automatically break cloak a little before it fires, but they will struggle to lock you in time.

I just happened to skill inject myself into a mastodon this week for WH PoS fueling. And just found this video. I always thought these DST's are more suited for this kind of a job than say an Orca is.

Today I was transporting a Vigilant I had just bought (didn't have the skills to fly it) and a frigate locked on and scanned me in high sec. Didn't think he would try to suicide gank an iteron Couple jumps later a fleet of lil frigates tried to suicide gank me for it! Granted it failed but lately people have become more bold in their attacks on haulers so I'm gonna take on the smuggling profession so I'll have a clue the next time around. Plus I've started thinking about smuggling contraband for a new line of income. Thanks for the video. o/

General rule of thumb: DSTs are for lowsec, BRs are for nullsec. Exceptions exist, your mileage may vary, results not guaranteed, etc. etc.

Nope, BRs can be used effectively anywhere. DSTs are great for hauling 1-10bn+ cargo in Hisec with almost no risk due to dat EHP.

Wasn't camped, was a few things on the gate but the cloaky/mwd trick can easily dodge everything except interdiction so it was a piece of cake. =)

Dodixie to Hek via lowsec? "25 or 30 jump highsec trip"?!? It's only 8 jumps from Dodixie to Hek via highsec, though. Dodi -> Vylade -> Balle -> Aufay -> Deltole -> Colelie -> Bei -> Uttindar -> Hek... the autopilot route (set to shortest, not safest) still shows the above HS-only route, no LS. Did you mean Dodixie to Rens? That is 10 jumps via lowsec (including the systems your video shows you traveling through) vs. 14 jumps via highsec-only (to Hek as above and then +6 more jumps down from Hek to Rens)... not a huge difference, but I guess if saving 4 jumps on your haul is worth traveling through faction warfare lowsec... whatever floats your boat.

T2 haulers can warp cloaked.

Having any prop mod makes inertia stabilizers and low friction nozzle joints completely useless. One cycle of AB/MWD and the ship is in warp. This works even with reduced cycle duration of afterburner from skills. My DST warps in one 8 second AB cycle wih all other mid/low slot used for tank.

Man, I just cannot get that to work on the Impel. I really need the 3 istabs. Can you share your fit, or even better, demonstrate it in a video? I'm afraid I'm doing something very wrong.

I tested with alt and it seems that it doesn't work with low enough skills. My alt travels only 66% max velocity after one cycle so he doesn't warp instantly after one cycle. May also be because alt uses meta AB instead of T2. High agility of minmatar hull most likely helps too.

The fit: Faction/DED modules are optional but greatly increase EHP (from127k to 157k). If they save even one haul from gank they have paid themselves back. Cloak is just in case. AB+cloak trick wont' help.
