Deep Snow, Freezing Conditions / Solo Overland Adventure Documentary

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is a documentary length video covering some of my solo adventures through Northern Europe over the harsh winter months. I travel in my built Jeep Cherokee XJ solo through deep snow and freezing conditions. Conditions range from -25c right up to 0c across the winter seasons of November 2022 to March 31st. March is considered spring winter here as the snow begins to melt quickly through April often almost gone in May.

Winter is over! Well almost but the snow is melting fast and you wont see any winter content until next winter. Now its time to put the Jeep in the workshop for four weeks, build a new tire carrier and make a few changes so its ready for when the roads harden up. This video is not new content but its a documentary style compilation of the winter of 2022 through to spring 2023. Oddly these long format videos seem to be very popular although I am unsure of how anyone could watch this idiot for three hours. Anyway thanks for watching and for al your support! Mike

The trend with some KZreadrs is to split something like a long interview into a bunch of 2 to 5 minute videos. I presume it looks better to KZread that way. More $$$? Anyway, that wouldn't work with this one... I don't think 🤔

You make more money I guess. I'm someone who loves putting a documentary or episode on while I work or in the evening. It's really annoying when they are so short and you have to find another or the other part.

V517 DPY, I remember being absolutely astonished when I saw the plate when it was still on uk plates! So so cool. We did Scotland, and all around France in it all those years ago. She was a dream. I bought one a few years back and the nostalgia was epic. Wish I’d have kept it ! I’ll be in Touch once I find some old photos.. keep up the amazing work!

I'm glad I moved out of a cold climate. I remember waking up in the morning to a perfectly plowed driveway that my next door neighbor and friend cleared, only to have to shovel two feet of slush that the city plows left in their wake. And the times my late wife and I had to chop thick ice at bottom of the drive because the slush had frozen when the temperature dropped. Fun times

Birch bark is definitely a special tinder. The humidity here is generally quite low apart from in the autumn. Also, there is lots of spruce and pine. It all goes up like rocket fuel, lol. Shame there is no oak for a longer burn. It ranges from about 200 to 800 metres where I live. If I go three hours west, then it's the mountains which are higher. Thanks for watching
