It's kinda cheating but you can just put up a gunner Zipline and stay on it for the corestone and then the corespawn jumps can't hurt you. While they are in the air they don't have any way to damage you, they just kinda jump right through you.

whats even funnier is you can use the gunner shield and pace it at the top of the pillar, break the pillar, then the core stone cant spawn any rifts and it just dies

I used to sleep on the crossbow but its crazy good. Chemical bolts is scout's best crowd-clear option, fire bolts shot into the ground insta-kill swarmers in a radius around it, cryo bolts are excellent for delivering temp shock to tanky tagets (of course, pairing best with thermal exhaust DRAK). You should give it a try my man, and thanks for the peak videos

2:06 quick tip taylor, never use armor break on warthog because of how armor break works on shotguns it 90% of the time worse than the +1 damage. longer version: basically armor break is only usefull against light armor (grunts) and armor is a 20% damage reduction, the damage upgrade however is a 16% overall increase in damage meaning the difference in damage is only 5%, therfore its much more worthwhile to take damage since its better in any situasion where u dont hit armor. this part is even more nerdy, but another reason is that shotguns do armor break checks per pellet, normally on single bullet weapons, the shot that breaks the armor gets no reduction, but since shotguns do the check per pellet means that every pellet of the shot that dosent break the armor gets reduced damage, meaning in most scenarios u will fail to hit breakpoints and therefore make the armor break choice even more useless

That last part was actually pretty salvageable. Even though the easy option is to blame Zoran lol, it's a Greybeard's job to carry newbies. In games with lots of PVE the most important part is to not get overwhelmed or surrounded. I learnt that playing through Sunlust (A Doom map set... Swim With The Whales is superior to God Machine hehe). The general strat I use to deal with groups of enemies is to either find a choke point (like the main tunnel or some random cave that loops around) or to run circles around them in the open (trying not to get sniped by anything on the ceiling). Note that when I'm circling I try not to full sprint since I want to kite enemies into groups so weapons like the Breach Cutter or Flamethrower (or the nuclear warhead hehe) can just delete the whole room with minimal effort, but for fast enemies like the rock boys that can be difficult which is why maybe the choke point strategy was the one to go for here since you can keep your distance and pick them off. It's also easier with more people since the individual aggro is split so you can each focus on your own little clusters. If you're all on the same page strategy wise (uh oh) it's usually manageable no matter how many enemies there are. Honestly running back, setting up a safe-ish area closer to the previous room (Platforms are your best friend, flat ground is underrated lol) and just chipping down the rock boys (with Magnetic Pallet Alignment or some other long distance weapon) was probably the best strategy here. Then Driller and Gunner could create space while Scout helps with getting picks. That + spamming shredders (don't be afraid to use those things, as it's free damage especially with the amount of Nitra you guys had. As a rule of thumb I never grab a resupply until I have two or fewer shredders on me) until the purple thing is broken but I guess it's tough since the Drilldozer was getting swarmed (but It didn't look like the rock boys were actually targeting -it- her, so maybe it would be fine, idk the AI that well for these newer enemies).

I was recommended your videos an hour ago and after watching a few all I could think was “can’t wait to see them do a core stone”

Monster driller, this is the build I use to solo elite deep dives (Slightly modified from the top driller guide on karlgg). Extremely ammo efficient and freezes enemies coming up behind you so you can watch your own back. Cryo Cannon: 1B, 2B, 3A, 4C, 5B. Pretty much any OC works but Tuned cooler is best. Freeze hordes and use the drills with the vampire perk to destroy them all at once, giving you huge chunks of health. Wave Cooker: 1B, 2A, 3B, 4B, 5C. All OC's work, Gamma Contamination is pretty great if you want to just sweep over a bunch of enemies and give them some DOTs. Mega Power supply for dps. The combo for big enemies is freeze, drill for 2 seconds, then cook to trigger the temperature shock. That's enough to kill a praetorian at haz 5. Drills: 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A. Plenty of damage to drill through enemies. Any grenades work.

Finishing Doretta first then doing events is easier. You won't have to worry about her but you have to remember to not send the pod

If you manage to find more drillers who decide to doom missions, and you have a gunner. You can put a zipline up and sit on it out of range from the Core Crawlers. The Crawlers are melee only, so sitting on the zipline means you are 100% safe from them

Remember, driller and gunner is all u need to fight a core stone. Just angle the zipline to where u can dangle mid-air at a good distance above ground and below the ceiling near the core. Then, when it's done rebuilding, drilly boi goes and either has a blast or eats a little snack outta the core (　・`ω・´)

Id like to play one day one mission or two just for giggles with these guys.

Cool control full class build for engi you should try its shotgun w/ 11321 + stunner, shard defractor w/32113 and Volatile impact reactor, aswell as sentries w/1221 and platform gun w/212, also take proximity mine use on like salvage opperation, dorreta or on site refinery. You can use the platforms to guide bugs into the sentries and the mines and make them get stuck with stuns and lava from the shard defractor.

1:59 TLDR: There's absolutely no reason why you aren't running bug repellent or extra ammo on the third tier of the platform gun on Engineer. (Unless you are running RJ250). Do you actually come up with your builds with the Randowieser Beer? Why does your platform gun have the "disabled inhibitor field"? That only really has an effect if you are falling to your death with extreme velocity from the RJ250 OC for the grenade launcher. If you don't have velocity, you can easily shoot the platform down at land on it after the platform lands. The disabled inhibitor field doesn't actually speed up the projectile speed, it just changes the velocity of the projectile to match your current velocity and then adds the regular projectile speed to it.
