I like how the game rewards you with a cool or funny little animation when you try reloading while already fully loaded.

all of the reload and inspect animations in this game are so pleasing to the eye, with the lok1 and m1000 being my personal favourites (talking about reload animations here, not inspect. my favourite inspect animations are easily hurricane, coil gun, and breach cutter).

Do you mean the reload animations or the reload animations when the mag is full? where the dwarves play with their weapons?

You forgot the empty inspecting animation of hurricane.

animation with launcher is quite good and sound makes ir funny, but in rich atmosphere sounds even funnier)
