As a rock musician and rock fan it’s an interesting perspective. As a kid it was purple I first gravitated towards and then zeppelin. I’ve always found purple to be the band better at taking risks on stage than zeppelin. As I’ve grown older I find myself listening to purple a lot more than zeppelin. But still zeppelin has an allure. Both bands are an incredible blend of top notch players.

The Purple and Tool, in my opinion. I bought my first album in '72 'Made In Japan'. Mother used to beat the kitchen ceiling with a broom handle! Bless her. Then in '91: Tool.
Anything new is fu**ing more than welcome , best band ever …

Greatest rock band ever! Their musicianship was unmatched back in the day! No other band could reach their standards! And don't forget the enormous DP family tree, which gave blood to so many other bands and musicians! All in all, they changed and influenced the rock scene like no one else did!

@@BobCarvalho OK, my fault, already adjusted the expression “new material” for “new album”. Stones have released only singles so far in the 20’s. Purple released “Whooosh” in 2020. Regarding new albums, Deep Purple is alone.

Виртуозов много было всегда, да и сейчас хватает этих Зинчуков))).Я про мозги. Как они нашли этот крутой стиль? До этого ничего подобного не было ни в Англии ни в Америке,нигде.Сразу такой хард - рок ,и такого эталонного уровня! Откуда эти пассажи Лорда,рифы Блекмора?
