I took guitar lessons at age 15 in 1970 because of Ritchie Blackmore. I still play today at age 68. Am I any good. Ahh not really. But it sure has been fun. 😁🍺👍

No effects. Raw power, a touch of overdrive and into orbit!!

Ian Paice is right up there with Bonham, Moon , Mitch Mitchell and Peart as one of the best rock drummers ever

11 year old me watched a bit of this performance when it briefly showed up in the Heavy Metal Pioneers documentary. When I saw Ritchie Blackmore go from classically trained guitar guy to feral maniac, it made me feel that this was an instrument worth playing. Now that I'm older I've seen faaaar better examples of his playing but watching this made me want to be a musician when I grew up and I'm pleased to say that has come true. What I learned from Deep Purple is that its possible to have a balance of that rock energy and showmanship as well as an insane technical knowledge of what it is you're playing. So thanks for that, Ritchie. 😊

I watched the documentary too when I was 10 years old and that was the first time I heard Deep Purple and it's the reason why I'm a musician. 🙂

В юности тоже считал это почти гениальным. С годами же пришло осознание, что бунтарско-новаторский дух молодых просто хочет иметь что-то своё, отличное от предпочтений предков. И это своё зачастую полная ерунда. Да, кое-что у Deep Purple можно отнести к отличной музыке (10%), но остальное так себе. Современной молодёжи нравится уже другое. И тоже в массе своей полная фигня.

Мне 37 но к стыду своему, или счастью совсем недавно открыл их для себя. Ну это просто космос! Их до сих пор никто не переплюнул(какая харизма). Я слышал что есть такая группа, но что произведёт на меня такое впечатление, не ожидал)

@@zaiabivatel Возможно, вы и правы. Первую половину 70-х им можно занести в зачёт, но а дальше только повторение и несколько супер-хитов.

Конец 60-х...70-е - лучшее время в музыке. Невероятное количество прекрасных песен и отличных групп. И одной из самых лучших среди них был Deep Purple - навсегда в моем сердце.

Мне 67. Благодаря этой группе я стал барабанщиком. То,как они друг друга слышат,понимают,это не просто гении - это стечение обстоятельств - сошлись единомышленники,чтобы создавать шедевры на века! ПрОжита жизнь,и,как показало время,других таких нет и навряд ли будут по своей харизме! ...будет что то другое,бесспорно,но Deep Purple 💜 обогнали время вперёд надолго!

Я не услышал в этой какофонии ничего , кроме шума. Причем однообразного . Надо реально слышать. И послушать Фреда и Пушного, которые разбирают партии КАК МУЗЫКАНТЫ того же Блекмора

@@georgesaridis2333 Тут такое, дело...Музыканты, художники, да даже простой работяга на работу которого любо дорого посмотреть, это бог через них с нами говорит. Я не человек искусства, но руками много чего могу, к примеру по дереву режу, модели парусных кораблей неплохие делаю. Но потом смотрю на дело своих рук и сам не верю, что это я сотворил. Руки просто сами по себе работают, как будь то кто то водит ими, а голова в это время совсем другими мыслями занята, не связанными с работой. Так что настоящих музыкантов точно боженька поцеловал. Красота. гармония, мир вокруг нас и есть бог.

I was still in the process of being conceived in 1970😊 but started to appreciate Deep Purple in the 80's-90's and saw them live finally at the House of Blues 💙💜in West Hollywood in the late 90's and this is always fun when you can go back in the time machine and see new old footage of vintage bands. 🎤👌🎸🎹

2024 & I'm just now seeing this, my friends have failed me. OMFG THAT'S ULTIMATELY AMAZING.

Try to pull this off today on any tv.... yeah, good luck!!

You have to love the audience; sat there motionless, some in suits, waiting with patience to clap. Unlike nowadays where you wouldn't even see their faces for a string of smart phones pointing at the band.

Of the 5 members from Mark II (shown in this video) there were just 3 members in the Mark IX version in 2022. Blackmore is out and Lord has gone on to eternal rest.

How wonderful. Unique and unattainable.

Deep Purple is so underrated...they were Pioneers in hard Rock and virtouoso improvising, and blackmore was a maniac this old days
