Thanks Brett Carter. I am well versed in the Heavy Road building, and Demolition world, but I am quite intruged by the Farming world. I do find the equipment, and amount of hard work quite intresting, considering how much the world depends on the food these people grow for us to eat. 😎

+Theblckganja 799 Im so glad you said that! Because thats a Deutz engine! Not AGCO Power or Sisu Power (Also fukking AGCO) , but real pure Deutz. The bad thing is that its the older 7.1 liter base engine, not the 7.8 litre used in Deutz Fahr 9340 which is comparable to this Fendt in size. Always nice when AGCO and Renault (Claas) fans worship the Deutz engines and usually dont even know it is a Deutz. Esp the Renault/Claas boys should remember that without Deutz their favourite tractors would never have made it to the place they enjoy today.

Lakey Farms Idaho without deep plowing every 5 years there is no soil structure to begin with in this part of the Netherlands. There’s more to the world than Idaho burger boy. This land was reclaimed from the ocean and demands special treatment.

It is fucking incredible how dumb some clowns are. Instead of asking how that doesn't fuck up the soil structure he thinks he'll give the world the benefit of his wisdom.

The video is from the Netherlands where do to the soil they have to do this relatively often

@bill slayton And root as well as riot. The reason they do this is to bring better, mor workable soil up as well as bury salt. Corn actually roots sideways as much as down. But the main crops you will see there will be potatoes, sugar beet, onions, carrots, some cereals.

I've made a lot of comments aggravating caseih fans, but I would love to drive a Fendt. They don't have any where I've farmed. They look like a great machine.

I grew up on a farm in the 60' and early 70's and we used Massy, John Deere and a Ford tractor. Personally I think by just watching videos that the Fendt tractor is an excellent tractor. It was and still is not available in South Africa. Would loved to be behind the steering of a Fendt tractor. Regards.

Seun Heinlein a friend of mine had a couple of fendts, but they broke pretty quickly when put to harder use so he switched them out.

The chain is there for whenever they need to add another tractor on the front. That tractor then pulls this one via that chain so it does not pull the tractor apart. They learned that the hard way.

In the Southeast USA where I live plowing that deep would be like farmers here breaking what they call the 'hard pan.' Tractors and implements running over and over the ground create a hard surface a few inches under the top of the soil thus the 'hard pan.' The way it is handled here is with a large shank ripper called a 'sub-soiler.' Instead of deep bottom plowing the 'sub-soiler' is run deep in front of the plant rig thus the bottom plow is not necessary. How deep is this plow going? Looks incredible by the angle of the tractor.

sorry for my terrible english deep ploughing starts at minimum 40 cm depth (1 inch =2.54 cm) i saw deep ploughing for 130 cm subsoilers are used more often but they leaving "hard pan" between tooth's that's why deep ploughing is just better - removing "hard pan" from whole field

You are right about removing the entire hard pan. I have heard the farmers here talking about replanting between last years rows which disturbs more of the hard pan. But you just don't see bottom plows being used now. If you see one it is sitting with weeds grown up all around it. :)

jbmbanter as i know ( as i was taught ) deep plow operation is good once for 5-10 years. There is no need to use it often, maybe that's why deep ploughs are not being used. Greetings from Poland

The next time I go down to the farm I will ask about bottom plowing. As I said they don't seem to use them here in Georgia, USA.

This one is German, Fendt is the brand....some kind of BMW of tractors. Though John deeres are really fine machines too.....for sub-soiling like in the western kenya sugar belt, the slower torqueir SAME LASER seems to hold forte...
