For some reason, I just had the weirdest thought. Part of what makes Maria so hypnotic is her gorgeous, heartfelt gaze, like she’s looking us right in the eye. Now consider this - she’s staring at a camera, treating a soulless inanimate object as if she cared deeply about it so that we’d really believe that for ourselves. That’s talent, yo - acting skills that good should not be taken for granted.

Maria is the BEST inaudible whisperer on KZread. She doesn't purposely overly smack her lips, it's just the natural sounds. I cannot stand lip smacking! I've only found about 5 ASMRtists that control their mouth sounds, with gorgeous Maria being #1

The sounds made starting around 6:40 have this great consonant pop when done up close. It’s the product of pushing out air as you part your lips and it’s so, so good. I don’t get tingles but I do have tinnitus and those sounds very close break through the ringing in such a good way

Maria doesn’t post too often but when she does it’s a Top of the TOP video! Who agrees?

Around seven years ago I discovered ASMR here on KZread. I can not describe the joy I felt: that feeling of a sensation I would often feel as a child in calm/relaxing moments (like listening to items being rung up at the library, or my teacher whispering math solutions into my ear as she leans over me guiding my hand along the paper in my open book on my desk showing me the proper way to accomplish the goal at hand). I was ecstatic to rediscover that wonderful feeling. I always thought growing up that I was the only one who experienced those tingles. I remember thinking to myself how I wish there was some way to bring those sensations back. Then one day (around seven years ago) I saw some video pop up in my feed. The title read "The YOUniverse ASMR". I thought to myself "hmm, that sounds interesting, I think I'll check it out". So I went to it. Immediately upon starting the video I was instantly brought back to my childhood. Those wonderful sensations fluttering and tingling throughout my head, neck, spine, arms and legs. Even my soul. That feeling of Zen-like-wonder was greeting me for the first time in over a decade. A godly sensation I had almost completely forgotten about. And it was Maria who happened to be the artist of that video and the architect of those lovely tingles. She was the first ASMRtist I ever saw. It was thanks to Maria I got to revisit one of my favorite experiences from my childhood. There are a lot of ASMRtists out there. And a good amount of great ones at that. But, in my honest humble opinion, Maria will always be the greatest who ever lived. After all, she's been there since the very beginning. And long before ASMR became a phenomenon, she sowed the seeds that lead to ASMR's popularity and renown we witness today... she will always be my top favorite ASMRtist.

Maria puts so much love into her work that I sometimes get the tingles just when she smiles at the camera. When she looks at us with so much happiness and affection, I genuinely feel loved, and it's the reason I've been following her channel for so long. Maria actually has responded to this question before (one of her Q&A’s). And if I recall it wright: She does get tingles sometimes but mostly she is focused on editing and that isn’t the most relaxing environment so the chances of tingling decreases. But she oftentimes gets tingles when she is making asmr (self induced asmr). Well, i hope this was helpful :) have a nice day :D

I think she also said that her own voice doesn't give her tingles, but the sounds sometimes do. But that might have been someone else.

I love how your whisper is truly gentle and soft. For me many other asmrtists have too sharp and crispy, almost explosive whisper so i can't really watch their videos It's so good that there's you and your art, Maria. Thank you and hugs from Russia 💞

I've started occasionally listening to ASMR with earbuds while I sleep, to drown out the neighbors. I've definitely been scared awake by noises I never heard when I was just using the phone speaker!
