That has really surprised me, I generally don't enjoy black and white or monochrome colours in Tarot decks. But the Tarot of the Abyss is gorgeous. Its now on my list to buy 😍 lovely to see your enthusiasm for the cards also.

Aaaah you have the Woodland Wardens 💗! That's my soul oracle, I love it so much and it's the one I use the most. Some weeks it's the only thing I use to read for myself. I actually modified mine (yes, I chopped the borders) because one of the cards came in a bit of bad shape, and I also wondered what it would look like borderless. I bonded a lot with this deck through that exercise of modification, but I love it so much that now I also have another copy just so that I can have the cards the way they were meant to be and use them for my displays. The version I modified is the one I keep on my night stand. This is the perfect oracle, in my humble experience, very full of love 💗 The Snake & Fern is my absolute favorite card from the deck 🐍

Tarot of the Abyss has one of my favorite 3 of Swords and 10 of Swords. Her interpretations of several cards are unusual and inventive. The line art is very well done. And, for whatever reason, I hardly ever pull it out! I guess I want to see a color version. Thanks for your thoughts on it, and glad you're enjoying it.

Yeah, she's a great writer too. It's a perfect deck for November.

I love this deck. It's one of my favorites. I've recently stopped thinking I need to edge all decks. I'm not edging this one because of the white space (same for Oak Ash and Thorn). I'm also curious about what edging works for others but for now I'm happy to leave it alone. Love your videos!

10 of cups as the instagram summer vacation feed photo is definitely modern. But I've intuited pretty much all forms of the RWS 10 of cups to have the Thoth's darker interpretation, or at least of some fakeness, so it is fine for me.

Tarot of the Abyss is a favorite of mine, a to go deck for sure. I too am not a fan of black and white, so initially I was not interested, but after discovering the Oracle of Echoes and learning to know the creator also made that tarot deck, my interest was sparked. Now it is special for me, and I don't care the lack of color, the art more than compensates for that.

8:47 This is actually quite a complicated issue, artists not being able to portray diverse bodies, facial features, skin colors etc. Might be an issue of privilege, or ignorance, but either way, there is a history of drawing ethnicities turning into blackface-esque charicature, or photographers not knowing how to work with darker skin tones to the point of completely underexposing the subject's skin. As an artist, I try to push myself to practice drawing and painting subjects of different ethnicities so that I can portray diversity with authenticity and respect.

Indeed, it is an issue that seeps into the fashion and makeup community too as industries as they tend not to favour colours that compliment olive skin with cool undertones which is common in South Asian cultures. I love this deck… she is beautiful and just as she is beautiful she is just as sharp with the truth 😅 sometimes we need to take a break. I am curious to find out if anyone has the same experience with her.

Hallo! 😊 I found your video very interesting and when you mentioned that the Knight of cups can be linked to death it really hit a nerve because I had this experience in a past reading even though I have never read it in any book to be interpreted it as such. What I 'd like to ask you is if you have any reference for this interpretation or you made the connection out of your own observation. Most of the books I 've read have very standard meanings. I cannot make up my mind about this deck. I do buy decks I am not sure about like the spiritual tarot without issues. I think it is because I have such high expectations of this deck and if it won’t live up to those expectations I will feel disappointed? I am such a silly one..
