That's an impact driver, the shocks it's "impacted" on the pad are what caused it to disintigrate!

You know that you've got talent when you can make cleaning a car content that is interesting to watch. Just let that sink in for a moment Joel. People are watching you clean a car ! It's mad. I find it both therapeutic and humorous. I'm not saying that you should do a load more car cleaning videos, but as far as car cleaning goes, this was a damn good one! Take a bow mate. P.s. of course we want a first drive video. Don't leave us hangin'

Appreciate it!
More of this car please, Joel. Characterful and achievable car for most viewers, and loving the approach you take to DIY (incl. minor self harm via cheap Amazon attachments!).
After seeing you using the drill, please do not use the manscaper for gods sake 😂😂😂😂😂
As someone who didn’t really get onto the Jag content but has been here for a while.. really really enjoying this series Joel! Would be good to see how this progresses and future videos on improving and perfecting the car!
Oh dear - you’ve used an impact driver rather than drill to polish - a drill, you can modulate the speed, an impact driver is just one speed
@shaniapearcey

Its not one speed
Joel to be fair you did put a drill attachment on an impact driver 🤣this was going to happen
Bloody hell stay away from any power tools , tries using it when its broken 🤣🤣
making good progress and the misano red is the best colour
Yes please Joel,I would like to see your first drive video 😃
You're making a really job of bringing the TT back to life, keep on with the content Joel

your using an impact driver not a drill. The damage is your fault not the pad

@dear oh dear if you don't tell someone where they are going wrong how do they learn? Or would you let them keep making the same mistake?
'Cockpit Spray' sounds like another product from this video's sponsor.

I think you have got yourself a cracking little sports car Joel
Of course we want to see more of the TT. It's a very good looking car.
Amazing transformation Joel, loving the TT videos so definitely would like more of them please
Another brilliant video Joel the TT is looking brilliant! We would love to see a first drive video! Keep up the good content!!
You definitely struck content gold with this one :D
The car looks a lot better, besides the drill 😂! Big sponsor for this video, congrats Joel! 😃
I was going to subscribe till I saw u using an impact driver on the headlights, reminded me of my gen z little hopeless brother hahahah
I find it immensely satisfying to have a car which has been neglected like that and set about a cosmetic transformation. Great video and work!
Great video Joel, and very satisfying seeing the transformation from some simple products and hard graft, TT looks great.
It's worth removing and cleaning out the sump (not bad) and fitting a new pick up pipe. These are prone to 'black death'.
Incredible transformation! +Your struggles with the polisher were very amusing😆
Just found your channel Joel, and really enjoying it. What a result on those headlamps!
I've got a 10 year old mk 2 TT that I just love. You've got a bargain there for under £500. It may have taken a few hours, but it has cleaned up brilliantly. Will be great to see the wheels refurbed and the paint issues put right. Great video 👍😎
That’s a cracking TT Joel. Plenty of content in it. Love to see a first drive video.
Love this era of tt. Would really like to get my hands on one. So happy to hear more about it.
Impressed! It’s significant😊 better than first expected. May I suggest an early MOT and looking forward to more clips.
Ferric cleaner and wheels first Joel! Then sno foam. You need to be two bucket washing if you don’t want the paint to get more scratched. You need to properly mask the paint around the lights before machine polishing. You could have done it by hand too. You don’t need to press hard at all, the pad does the work.
Never get bored of watching car cleaning videos.. Maguires cleaning products are real good.. I used a bit on my dirty roof yesterday (Thursday) I have my 52 plate Mercedes CLK 320 Convertible its been washed twice this week, £ for first wash, and 2nd wash/mini valet £15 nut sadly the roof was not cleaned as I would really like. Having said this I have owned car 7 years, and its quietly returning to it former glory when I purchased the car. I still feel my car is decade away from being the car I dream it to be and presently I live in a 3rd floor flat but due to very ill health I do really need to move to a lovely bungalow with at least a garage and driveway.. So satisfying improving ones car.. Cool video.
Great cleanup job Joel.
Just bought one the same but black, £850 similar dirt as has been parked under a tree for months/years. Looking forward to giving it a clean tomorrow. Might literally follow your progress and do like for like. Subbed for Audi TT content.
The TT is starting to look really quite nice. I would highly recommend you deep clean that steering wheel, not sure if it's available in the UK but P&S Xpress Interior and an Autofiber scrub ninja is the interior dream team.
Hey mate, please share a video of that first drive. I have been the biggest fan of this model since its first release.

The buffer issue is the exact point in a classic Top Gear episode where Jeremy would say "right in the plums!"
Sorry Joel, that head flying off was hilarious! What a great motor too! Congrats!
Looking forward to seeing more coverage on the TT.
Soap and water and a microfibre to clean up that steering wheel. Really work the towel into the leather. All the years of hand oils will come off, and with it the shininess - which is what makes steering wheels and cars look old. You want a matte finish. Cool car!
Joel This is reality TV at its best! Good luck with Amazon! I think you might find it tricky though!😂 Love that you tried to use it broken - exactly what I would have done - probably with the same result.....
Really you want a bit of watery foam it’s designed to remove and run off surface dirt. Thicker isn’t necessarily better, nice job man :)
Good job . Some parts seem to need paint correction for galze. Rear left quarter panel for instance
Great video Joel, going to be an interesting series! Congratulations on the 80k subscribers!
Its nice to see people still cleaning cars, like I used to clean them, 15 years ago. But Seriously good vid sir, very enjoyable. you should have probably put at least a spray wax on there, just to gloss it up a bit, and give a bit of protection from the elements, so it doesn't get any worse :)
Good video, just shows how many hours it takes to do a good wash and clean up. Looking forward to seeing it driven and perhaps do some paint work and upgrades ?
Love to see the first drive, great video Joel.
It came out like a real daily driver. 🎉 A nice show and nice car.❤
Gosh .. am still saving to purchase a my Porsche Boxster..😊 and now looking for Audi TT. I still have the Z4. You are of great influence to my purchases.
Good video Joel. Looking forward to more content on this car.
Subscribed! Love the TT stuff! Never owned a MK1 only an MK2 and MK3 so finding this really interesting! More TT stuff please!
For a chap who’s not a professional detailer, you did a nice job Joel. Vast improvement.
Enjoyable video, looks like you have got yourself a good little car there, mad that noone else wanted it!
One bucket !!??
Thanks Joel, loving the Audi TT content. More please 👍
Loving the Audi content Joel, would love to see more
fantastic improvement. Makes me miss my 3.2 VR6 MK1 TT. The styling and quality of the interior was ahead of its time, a real modern classic in my opinion.
Great video Joel. Amazing buy, just bought a mk 2 TT myself and i love it.
Then it when it came flying off killed me 😂
Love videos about getting a cheap, unloved car and transforming it into a car such as this. Great content and look forward to the driving video.👍
Great job Joel, keep showing the tt cause it is a modern classic
Very interesting great content keep them coming especially about the TT
Would love to see your first impressions with the car driving. I mm surprised these have plastic headlamps. My MK4 Golf which is essentially the same car underneath as this TT, had glass ones.
Don’t forget to polish the rear lights too! Wet sanding with 2000 grit will make the polishing easier and get better results.
Really enjoying this tt content maybe things do happen for a reason!
Really enjoyed the video mate, pity about polishing pad but fair play for including footage of the mishap
Great video Joe - little TT looks awesome 👏
Most realistic DIY channel ever! 😂 That polish is how any beginner would probably handle it. Great stuff 😄
Nice work, yes more TT content please
Great video, what spay foam did you use ?
Well done Joel looks nice worth getting the paint and wheels done and look forward to your next video 👍

@itsjoel can you drop a link for the error code gadget you purchased plesse mate. My air bag light is on after moving the passenger seat! Thank you
Noice! Don't forget. Bryn @ BWS TT is your man for any TT issues you need fixing
Hi Joel what that foam spray u use. Can u tell me what make it is
Looking great 😀👍🏻 For future reference you could have been pulled over and fined for driving with the writing on the Windscreen as it obstructs your view.
What a transformation!! Cracking little bargain there. Hope your man vegatables are ok after the polishing head disintegrated!! lol
100% you can do all the cosmetic work yourself. That door mirror, easily sorted with a rattle can. Same goes for the usual lacquer peel on red cars. Easy to fix with a bit of wet sanding and a rattle can. That era of TT is a future classic, it's started already with the 3.2. Get it looking right and the price is only going one way. Top content.
Did you have the polishing disk in an impact driver? If so that’s why it’s fu&&&d
Was waiting for the next video on this beaut!
Considering performance or suspension upgrades?
Yes more content..Looks great!
Enjoying the TT content 👌 next stop l322👏 would be a deadly duo
The TT looks fantastic with just a good clean! Can you send me a link for the foam lance and snow foam please?
Loved it! More please!
Proves one thing Joel.....you're human like the rest of us. We're all guilty of buying stuff that promises to be the dogs doo dahs but sometimes unfortunately that's not the case....as you found out. Always learning mate, always learning. Love what you do, you make mistakes and you admit to it, how it should be. It appears on reflection you've got (hopefully) a right bargain there with the Audi. Nice looking motor. Look forward to the test drive video. Keep up your great work 👍👏
So satisfying watching you clean the car 😅
I used the Auto Glym one which was a ace kit and like you covered the car in shite whilst doing it but found it a lot easier using a corded drill. 👍
Good job on the lights. Now worth finishing with some aerosol clear coat. Gives a good finish and protects 👍
I think you have been very lucky with this car, excellent value!
what a great video, defo you like more of this 100% also dads always come prepared with everything dont they :D
Hi Joel, great little car mate. I need a commute car for work. Gonna have a look at the tt. Nice1
Great video. Would love to see a first drive as well :)
Exterior looks unreal!
Glad this accident has turned out to be a happy one mate! Keep the content coming
This is a great accidental project, honestly could be one of the best unintentional series. Good luck✌️
Good effort Joel- amazing the difference a bit of well applied elbow grease can make. There has been a vast improvement in appearance. Some cosmetic paint work and wheel refurbishment will completely transform the car. Bring it on! :)
gutted you were not in richard hammonds jag vid, check your audi exhaust hangers too,
I want to see a first drive video!))
