I hate those “disaster detail” videos where every one is the “worst ever”. We get it, US moms who drive giant minivans and feed their kids in the car with a diet of McDonalds and candy are disgusting but a lot of time and the standard detailing processes can sort them out. Water damage and mould, that’s truly a challenge. I like your videos because there’s no hyperbole, it’s obvious your work saves cars that in some cases would be scrapped

I like the fact you have a good working knowledge of car mechanics. It add’s a lot more context and understanding to the detail. As opposed to other ‘valeters’ who are simply cleaning, not knowing how this interlinks with the greater picture of caring for the car.

Just coming here again to say thanks for all your advice about my sisters car! I mostly fixed the paint work so it looks a lot better, it was the bonnet that was really bad with a white square on the bonnet full of scratches and now it’s black again. It looks 10 times better but isn’t perfect but She’s happy and so am I. It took me 3 hours to do it making pass after pass to get it uniform as it was really bad. I will do my own car next to get rid of the water marks and light scratches caused by bushes. You’re a great detailer and have helped me massively.

I have a recommendation, friend. I used to decon and restore disasters that ranged from water damages to crime scenes and always used a product to disinfect called Microban. Idk if it's available where you are but it's here in the States. I highly recommend it for something like this if you can get it because it is the TRUTH. There are several different ones, but the blue labeled one is what you want as it won't damage textiles, but kills everything else. Use it to spray EVERYTHING before you clean it so you don't cross-contaminate. It's kind of pricey but worth the cost and will last forever. Then, after you wet clean it, run an ozone machine inside the car for about 30 minutes with the AC on. That will kill any mold spores in the air system and throughout the car. I know it wasn't easy but you did great work on that car. Good luck in the future, brother.

@@everydaydetailing6449 yep totally understand, h9 actually finishes down surprisingly well. It's pretty unbeatable with a microfiber pad for heavy defect removal, mind you do usuallly need a finishing pass with m3/foam pad combo or similar after using a microfiber to cut. For the budget it's a fantastic effort. Looking forward to the next one!

@@everydaydetailing6449 you're welcome! I also meant to add that I completely agree with you on using Surfex HD for the upholstery cleaning, nothing comes close does it. And if it's bad you can always step it up in strength. I can totally see why you put the other product in the tank too, especially as Surfex doesn't have much aroma.

In a fit of pique i bought it off him spent my weekend off doing it up and sold it for 500 quid profit. It’s what started me dealing my own stuff every now and then.

Good aproach to test different products on these really messy cars to help us finding good/valuable products. The cars I use to clean are far away from this shape so I just use the apc in the pump bottle, spray and brush and clean it with only water in the vacwasher afterwards. Btw. Did I overlook it or is the ceiling missed to be cleaned?
