Which is why they need a better communication system because nobody like texting and driving that much when doing job. A courtesy phone call is always the best choice.

I put that $1900 offer on another forum and asked would you take this? You wouldn't believe the number of people that said no. All they saw was the dead miles coming back. They're delivery drivers with no business mindset.

I know what you mean about the Curri account for drivers and for Carriers. As a carrier I’ve seen drivers post offers that they have for their cars or trucks and I notice it looks different. But I get offers to “make bids” or “accept now” like you. I feel the same way about contracts, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to get contracts but most of the time they don’t make sense so I haven’t taken any. I have a 24ft box truck so I know it’s not apples to apples but with some of these apps (GoShare and Frayt), if a customer or dispatcher like your work then they can assign you work on those apps without the offers going out to everyone else. And for me that’s been better than the contract offers I’ve seen.

I have been driving Longhual OTR for 30+ years and in that time I have learned that having the contacts at both companies and brokers, seriously helps when there are down times like now a days; what is even better is having the business relationship (which takes years to build most times) to have a dedicated load from shipper to customer and then having the return back all in place because a trucker has PROVEN their business acumen is on the top of the game. This has saved my butt over the last 6 years and allowed me to spot trailers at companies for a drop and hook system; that works for all involved, this has increased all of our profits.

Man it’s been a struggle for me Frfr I’m doing shipt right now but in all honestly it’s rough.furthermore I brought a ford e 250 and it’s been parked up since March. I’m discouraged as hell I’m in nyc so some of these apps guys on KZread suggest have no motion in my area “ dispatch it” idk what to do next I’m at a stand still smh

Gridwise for the earnings. I do my own excel spreadsheets.

Two things: I don’t like about curri is lack of communication through a phone call to talk and not seeing the items until you accept the orders. I hope eventually that changes but other than that it’s a good app to make money.

It's on the radar but it's not a move I want to make in the immediate future. Box trucks seem to serve a purpose for a radius of, say, 300 miles or less. I see too many of them on the side of the road or wrecked.

Hello, I just came across your videos. As a female who can’t lift more than the average female, is this a good path to take on my own, or would I need a male business partner? Was also considering getting a CDL-A, then came across this line of work. I don’t mind putting in the work otherwise, I’m just not super strong 😔

I'm aware of one lady who has a male business partner who accompanies her on certain load opportunities. So it's not an option that's out of the question.

You can do this…I know someone who can’t use their one arm and there doing this…you can also start in your personal car to try it out first

Hi Geezer , I’m an OTR CDL driver (5 yes) looking to switch to box truck or cargo van. Appreciate your videos. It sounds like guys do local OR OTR. Are there any issues with trying to do mostly local and occasionally taking an OTR? Insurance or tax issues maybe?? Thx again!

The only issue, in my opinion, are people who will question your decisions and strategy and they've done nothing for themselves. You can't tell them all to fuck off. But it may be necessary on occasion.
