Great work! love the butterflies paper very much! a few tips for you and everyone really. I personally like to keep my paper on a flat surface after ripping them. I keep them aligned of each other to keep the pattern of the paper that I ripped so i dont overlap too much when gluing the pieces beside each other. It's nicer and cleaner. Also, add more glue on ur piece of paper and take the other side of your glue brush to flatten the paper from wrinkles a bit. it doesn't stick when you add enough glue. It will help again to make it cleaner as well. 😉

Yes you can use magazines, it will work in a similar way to the wrapping paper. Water down the PVA with equal parts water. It can be used for sealing but won't be quite as long wearing as a sealant product

magnoliasouth, the girl in the video is most definitely not American. Neither am I and I think you’ll find that tissue paper is pretty universal. In England, crape paper is very wrinkly as Jacky expressed. I think she made a valid point actually. Ur absolutely right it was tissue paper she was using. crepe paper would have giving a more textured effect of wrinkles. I’m an American tissue paper and crepe paper are so dang on universal the only way u could rebuttal this is if u were trying to offend someone, but that’s us Americans for u so busy trying to be right that u offend somebody who wasn’t being offensive and then wait for 100 years before u fully understand that u were being a jerk. This comment didn’t even call for the negative response

I wouldn't think formica would take pva glue very well with it being plastic and smooth. might not be so bad if you're going all over the surface of the object so the glue doesn't really have any boundaries, but ideally it would be a good idea to give the formica a good scuffing with 120 grit wet n dry just enough to give something for the glue to get hold of. at least that's what I'd do.
