Decoupage Air Dry Clay Coaster and Paperweights with New Bible Verse Rice Paper - Beginner Project

Decoupage is the art of gluing decorative paper to an object in order to adorn and embellish it. In this tutorial, I create my own coasters with air dry clay, then decoupage them with my new rice papers that contain bible verses. I also created two paperweights with clay and used the same rice paper, just smaller, to decoupage them.
Air dry clay is a fun medium to work with and it is a great beginner project. What is the heat-resistant spray that you are using? I didn't see a link in your description. This is the first that I've heard of it. I like how you used plastic as a shield when you were smoothing the images. Also, using your technique of filing off the excess paper is neater than cutting it away with scissors.

You could also make a refrigerator magnet the same size as the paper weight. Just an idea... Your projects are great! 🎉❤

Hi, Thanks for the compliment. I sell the printed papers here pambranchdesigns.com/collections/decoupage-and-craft-supplies. Sorry, but I do not sell kits. The air dry clay can be purchased at Michael’s or other craft suppliers. The paper is rice paper, which can be purchased on Amazon if you want to print your own.

May I ask if the Dupli color spray is the 500 degree and do you heat cure it. If you do, how do you do it? I’ve had great success in using that product but was advised to heat cure it. I set tiles out in 90 degrees sun for a few hours. Unfortunately that’s not possible in cooler weather.
Can you get scriptures on napkins? Or it it just rice paper? Valerie.

Hi, I print my designs on rice paper with a laser printer. The lightest paper I print on is tissue paper with my ink jet, if that if that is something you are interested in. (I don’t personally print napkins with bible verses since they are used to clean faces, etc.)
