Just watching you, as you have been figuring out your style, has helped me figure out what I like and dislike! Thank you so much for that inspiration! I’ve learned that I definitely love neutral!

I started using kitchen towels in my powder room, and, liked them so much I got them for the other bathrooms! Love your little stool by the bath tub! My girlfriends ask everything they come over, “ where did you get that?” My answer is usually, “ my bedroom, or the guest room or the dining room, etc”. I have always moved things from room to room to get a different look! I don’t understand why people get something, put it in one spot, and, there it stays, sometimes for decades!! 🤣😂. Always love your videos!

Nicely done! Groups of odd numbers 1-3-5-7! Something black in every room grounds other colors, resulting in that pop! Add various textures to tone on tone to increase coziness! Up-cycle linens, furniture and re-purpose

Wonderful advice!👌As for the sleek sockets, you can also paint them to match your wall. With regards to clutter, without offense to anyone, they say: "A cluttered home, will produce a cluttered mind". "Less" really is "more". 😊 And small homes, apartments, and condos can look just as gorgeous and inviting as a large one.

In your master bathroom, the tub is pure white with that beautiful black faucet. It pops and is very eye catching. The rest of the bathroom hardware is gold. If you changed the hardware to black as well, it would make your bathroom look even more upgraded and pleasing. I love your house. It's beautiful. You have the eye!

Hiding cords...The Command Strip product line includes small clear plastic hooks designed to hold electrical cords. I use several hooks attached to the back of my computer system to tame the jungle of cords. I prefer indirect lighting (upspots, nightlights, etc) so the power switches are usually in awkward locations. I found it a worthwhile investment to put that assortment of ambient lighting on timers to spare myself the gymnastics. Put furniture on casters or gliders as much as possible so your home is easier to clean, or paint, or rearrange. Choose timeless classic styles for your investment items (sofas, dressers) and confine trends and fads to the accessories (throw pillows, wall art, etc). Consider which activities are necessary and important to you. Do you actually need a dining room table that seats 8 for every day or only once a year? Design according to your needs and wants not by the common expectations.

I learned years ago, when my budget was much smaller, that having decor pieces that can go from room to room, is the way to go! And, paint is my best friend! I’ve changed so many things with a can of spray paint! I, too have the flat plugins from Amazon, as I hate cords! Love your channel!❤️😊

You just do not understand how much this video helped me and is going to help me in the future. Our home was built back in the 80s and they did not make them with a lot of room or with enough storage space. I am like you I do like to change things around in my home a lot, but with the limited storage space, I have to be careful. I have to be creative and smart with our storage spaces. My husband works so hard to work to take care of our little family and I have just started working part-time. I do not want to stress him out by spending a lot of money or having a cluttered home. I like your style of home. This is what I have been trying to do in our home. This way if I am tired of it in one space I can try it in another. I am trying to learn how to organize in small spaces and not spend a lot of money.

Great tips Ashley! My favorite tip is hiding the cords. I'm not a fan of seeing so many cables and cords. It's an eye sore and adds clutter to a space. Many lamps now have retractable cords that are kept hidden in the base which allows for a cleaner finish. 2nd tip: I never thought to use kitchen towels in a bathroom. You're right, it's cheaper and those towels are bigger. I prefer my towels to match my set of towels but if I find one that could work I will try it 😊

I discovered Sleek Sockets from your videos, and I LOVE them. And spray paint or stain really does make a huge difference. You talked about changing your style, and changing things to make them work. I’ve changed legs, repainted/restained a ceiling fan, and spray painted a pair of glam sconces matte black. It’s been fun to see how your style has evolved, and your home is stunning. But I still get excited when I see an “itch to switch,” not even kidding!

I have a other question what kind of bath Matt do you use when you get out of the shower and where do you put it do you just leave it on the floor or do you have a way of hiding that?

I painted my guestroom that pale gray that you have in your room. I used white accessories and navy blue pops of color. It looks cold and cheesy. I have hated it from the start. 😄 This video is very helpful.
