Seeing the long guns standing in the corner brought a chuckle from me, in a time when many would lose their minds seeing that. Being raised in a large family back in the 1960s, my daddy kept his old double barrel shotgun and a Remington Rolling block 22 rifle stored in the corner behind the dresser. He hid the shells where we couldn't find them but we knew better than to mess with them.

My science teacher gave us an assignment where we had to find some trash or something thrown away and make something useful out of it. Hi girls Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 the tree you girls bought is called a Pencil Tree. Past Christmases I had 3 of them and the usual Christmas Tree it was 9 feet. I'm going down memory lane forgive me. This will be my first Christmas without my beloved husband. He passed away it will be 1 year next month. It makes me feel good seeing you girls keeping your traditions. And Cori honey, you and Austin are just beginning your lives together and I know you both will have your own traditions. We're having my brother over on Sunday for roast beef. It's before Christmas but so what.

I was so intent on telling you about the scammer that I forgot to say I really enjoyed this video, as I do all of them. It was fun to listen to y'all talk about the ornaments and watch you decorate the trees together. I have two sisters but they're much older, so I was almost like an only child, and the bond you two have is so heartwarming. (I'm not sure whether I ever commented, Corie, but I also enjoyed watching you decorate your pink tree and tell about the different ornaments.) Thanks for sharing this fun sister time with us. Glad Katie was able to come up out of the sweatshop for awhile, haha.

Oh - you girls often say 'God Speed' along with other sweet greetings at the end of your videos & you both or your mama often give definitions/meanings for some of the words used so thought you might be interested in this one for 'God Speed" - Where Does “Godspeed” Come From? This dates back to a 15th-century song sung by English ploughmen on Plough Monday, the first Monday after Twelfth Day, which marked the end of the Christmas holidays. Before farm laborers went back to the fields, they dressed all in white and went from door to door drawing a plough and soliciting “plough money” to spend on a last celebration. The song lyric “Godspeed the plough” expressed a wish for success and prosperity and was soon shortened to just “Godspeed.”

I have three Christmas trees up , I have a slim tree up in my living room that I left it up last year all year and have decorated it for every holiday, I had a good time decorating it, I don’t know if I’m going to leave it up again, my twin granddaughters don’t bother to touch the trees maybe cause they are used to seeing them all year, maybe after Christmas I’ll buy a white one like yours , you guys trees are beautiful ❤

Some years I would also go out to the forest behind our house and find me a small white pine or cedar tree and have my "charlie brown Christmas tree" ...thanks y'all...God bless...🙏❤

It looks like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. We had some Charlie Brown Christmas trees coming up. My dad miscalculated cutting the tops out of cedar trees. He did it because he didn't want to kill the trees. Anyhow, I love yalls videos. Keep up the good work. Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Katie, ur trees look great! When yall were talking about trees it reminded me of a tree I had. It was mid-'60s, I was 11 or 12, and convinced my parents to buy me the latest in Christmas tree fashion....an aluminum tree complete w/ the spotlight and 4-colored rotating wheel. Man, I was just too kool! 😎

I did those bells. It’s been yrs since I’ve done the bells. There use to be place near Myrtle Beach that had beautiful pieces to buy and paint yourself. I loved getting the nativity to paint and put on our tree and give as gifts. You two are so beautiful and have beautiful souls.
