🥹 I was given a prayer rug as a kid. I love it so much. I’m not religious but it’s a beautiful work of art to me. It means a lot.. though I haven’t seen it in years. My mom and sister took everything I ever owned, boxed it up, and gave it away. A man in the military had apparently given it to her for me when I was just a baby.. I was so drawn to it even before I knew it was mine. Apparently it’s from Afghanistan. It’s green and I recall archways and a mosque on it.

I pray that God almighty gives you the ability to pray using that prayer mat one day inshallah & Ameen. If your open to the idea, maybe just put the prayer mat on the floor as shown in this video, put your palms together & just make a sincere prayer. Oh God almighty if your there please answer me & guide me Ameen

That's good alhamdulillah, where we pray is always special and not just in ramadhan ... we don't need to wait once a year to do that

Assalamualaikum everyone, just to say before you put in the comments ‘you can’t pray facing the mirror’, she’s actually facing the other way. Also I think it can give more of a ramadan feeling and maybe weaker Muslims more motivation to decorate. Some may see it as over the top but if it helps it’ll great! We shouldn’t assume the worst and that she only prays now, we should assume she is just decorating the area she prays for ramadan. Which I know is the case! Please especially in ramadan refrain from negativity and lack of trust in your ummah. Even the Prophet sallalahu allayhi wasallam had told us to never assume the worst, always try and look understand what they may be going through before jumping to conclusions. Hope you make use of the last few days of ramadan coming up! May Allah bless us and give us the strength to stay with him and live for him Ameen Xx

Everybody is talking about her material things, her mirror and the qibla and the pillows and stuff, but nobody talks about the time and effort she puts into making a special corner to strengthen her relationship with Allah, which is a good thing. By decorating she is also preparing her heart for a huge part of Ramadan: the daily prayers and dhikr. Maybe it is not your style to decorate a special corner, but if it helps her focus on her Deen, then I think it is a good thing and we shouldn’t be so harsh on her. I think it looks nice and it is great to have a special place to have your moment with Allah. She did a good thing by putting extra effort on her faith and I am glad it helps her to stay focussed. May Allah bless our Ramadan and accept our fasting.

It's good if she's doing it for her happiness and it helps her to strengthen her relationship with Allah but i think it's not necessary to put it on the social media if it is only for personal happiness because once something is on the social media people start getting influenced and try to copy and we shouldn't forget that the distinct characteristic of Islam is Modesty .
