​@@doddleoddle Even from the Ikea shop?? Or do you not prefer Ikea comforters? I got a twin size duvet from Ikea because I intended to use it just to cover the twin mattress as a "couch". But now I leave the trundle out with the twin duvet at the foot of the bed and it still looks great. I might show it in a future video.

Hi, I wanted to ask about the Hemnes bed frame, the extended frame hold with a pair of wheels, is it strong enough if adult people are sitting or sleeping above that?

Or can I use it just as a king, queen or double without having to pull out the trundle everytime. Can it just be a “permanent ” big sized bed????

@@isabella.44 It could work, but I think Ikea dimensions might be specific to their brand only so that you cannot use other sizes on their products. I recommend taking measurements of the mattresses you want to use and checking them against Ikea's dimensions prior to committing!

i recommend using it as a twin bed with a thick mattres, the one that you normally have, the mattresses that come with the bed are horrible and give you back pain, if you want to use it as a king sized bed, i reccomend buying another thick matress, you can put it in a attic or storage room when not using it for a king sized bed

Ik this is a little late but I have carpet floors in my room and I have an office chair that moves pretty easily on it. Do you think the trundle would be the same?

Do you think I can fit a full sized mattress when it pulled out??

you can definitely fit a full sized mattress on the daybed with the trundle pulled out, however I would take measurements and check them against the daybed measurements on the Ikea website before committing!

@@AtinyElring I actually decided not to get the bed because of these two reasons; 1: The mattresses on that bed wouldn't support my back as well as my current mattress. 2: The dimensions were bigger than my family and I anticipated.

I have two thin mattresses to put on top of each other, but when I pull the bed out, the mattresses dont fit. I'm pretty sure I got the correct mattresses but I cant pull the bed out too far because itll come apart

That's odd, did you get your mattresses from Ikea? I think they have suggested mattresses under the daybed's listing.

You can buy the mattresses together or separately. It's big, but I don't know if it's necessarily comfortable for long-term use, especially when you pull out the trundle. If it's not pulled out, you lay on two mattresses instead of one, and that's more comfortable long-term.

@@AtinyElring i got the one at IKEA in the bed set. its pretty comfy. a little thin compared to the massive mattresses people usually get, but i like it ^^ plus if you get two for the pull out feature, it might add squish when they're stacked

I'm not entirely sure which ones they are since I bought it used off of FB Marketplace, but they work just fine for my purposes. I lightly use the daybed for afternoon naps and lounging during movies/shows. I think it could get uncomfortable if you plan to sleep on it daily, but it really depends on the person.

@@doddleoddle I have thick carpet floors. I am still not sure. I went today to IKEA and the woman said she doesn't recommend this daybed because I have carpet floors. :( I really don't know what to do. I have been looking at the FYRESDAL daybed now.

I bought this same bed and I have hardwood floor, the trundle slides out and has no locking system. The top mattress sinks once the trundle moved too dar out. Did I install it wrong?
