Just sumbled upon this channel for the first time and this game looks right up my alley, will wishlist for sure. However, just a quick note on this link to the After-Kickstarter shop: I was shocked at first to see the price at 60 usd and almost lost interest, but that was because I hadn't scrolled further down to see the actual digital copy price, which was far more reasonable. To avoid this jumpscare for others who might not scroll as far as me, I think maybe you should be linking to that product first, and rather attach the alpha access as an optional product beneath. Either way, that's just a small nit-pick. The game itself looks so good! Excited to play it one day!
Definitely keep the unexpected shelf-delete behaviour. It's easy for a player who doesn't want floating things to just delete them anyway, and for users who do want to do clever and creative things this will be a great feature. People make some amazing stuff when they're not restricted too much :)

Absolutely keep it! After the lengths I go to in Palia to make things float/be in places they couldn't normally be, the ability to float objects easily is so cool!

Or simply let players hang plants on trees xD
Keep the floating plants please!
Please keep the shelf "glitch"! I love it when games have tricks like this that can allow creativity to thrive.

Yes please
I'm not exactly saying "no" to floating plants, but instead of allowing floating plants "as a multi step work around in order to make it seem like it's attached to a tree", why not just allow us to attach it to the tree? And if you want the shelves that aren't weirdly attached to things like trees, you could probably perform a check similar to the foundation, but instead of 4 corners of the foundation, check the 2 shelf supports. Maybe you could have a setting? 1 that has the checks to allow "proper" placement, and another a "free place" where most / all checks can be ignored?
I wholeheartedly appreciate the lengths the dev team is going to in order to fine tune the details of Solarpunk BEFORE it releases into early access! The aesthetic and building mechanics of Solarpunk are mesmerizing and enticing...sehr gut! Can't wait to play it! Oh, and PLEASE leave the floating plants!! 🌱🌿
I know it might be hard to add these, but here are some suggestions: 1. Can you make the tree branches work like ceilings or shelves for better connection with plants? 2. You could add a thing that works like a shelf for the plants but it would be really small. Like just enough to hang a plant on it. 3. Make the building highlight yellow / orange or something for visibility on the skybox. 4. You could add a photo mode that would allow you to use freecam / hide hud and other commands. To make it not feel like cheating, you can add a sphere collision that the camera can't go through. 5. You could add paint. - collecting flowers for dyes - a machine for making paint and mixing it - a brush for painting the walls 6. When in the airship thing, I feel like the character seems too stiff. Some movement above the waist would do the trick. When going right you slightly lean to the right etc. 7. I don't know if it wouldn't break the vibe, but imagine a radio. - you build a radio reciever - you build a radio, or you can craft a mobile radio type of thing - the further you go from the reciever the worse the quality gets It would be nice to have a radio station than plays the program for example only in the morning, giving us some songs and some talk about stuff going on in the solarunk world. It could be a good way for you to add some lore to the game. Like we are some dude who went to the unknown lands to explore them and build a solar future for the humanity down below. or something like that. I'm no game developer but I have a feeling it would make the game slightly better (it's already amazing so it's hard to improve) P.S Would there be some closed alpha test for the game?

@@solarpunk_game Just been thinking about some more stuff. 1. How about pets? Do you remember yhe scrapped npc merchant? Imagine a robot coming to your island base every 2 ingame weeks, offering you a pet a first, but when you have the pet already, the bot will sell you toys and maybe cosmetics like a tiny hat and a bandana for the dog. Maybe robot pets, or normal cats and dogs thst would just roam around your main home island where the pet bed is placed. 2. The game is multiplayer. But are the "worlds" saved on the hosts' pc only? We have person 1 and person 2. Person 1 is the host of the "world". But when person 1 goes to sleep, person 2 can't play the game. If the game would be saved in the cloud or something, person2 would be able to acces the save and would be able to play without person 1. I hope this gibberish stuff makes some sense at least
Creativity over realism 🥰
Omg this is exactly what I’ve been looking for…..for years!!
The "automatic fish mining" is is awesome! Definitely a good automation step! Personally I love automatic systems in general at some level
Keep the floating flower-pots! (and also everything other that´s built on shelves or something, not just fowers!)
Remove the unclear feature of hanging things and instead add some snapping points to your trees so that people can hang things from them, that way it's a feature and not a bug.
This game seems like it's gonna be such a unique concept for a new cozy game, cool.
What a stunning looking game. Can't wait to get my hands on this!
I love the fact that you can build and decoratw the way you want 😍 that's what I enjoy! In my wishlist already ✅ And following for more updates ✅

Amazing progress! I would love to see rounded architecture walls, floors and roofs, especially for greenhouses.
Thx for the devlog~ I am so excited for access :D I wouldn't mind to keep the shelf situation to be possible. You can just not use it if you don't want^^ the pond collector looks so funny!
I seriously can't wait for this game!
As long as there are options to make things pink or pastel, I’ll play it!
Einfach unfassbar schön vielen Dank für die Einblicke ins Game Solarpunk 😍
I think the unexpected behavior opens a lot of doors for cool builds!
Keep the floating objects! It creates so many possibilities. Can’t wait to get into early access 😁👍
HOLY FREAKING CRAP THIS GAME IS AWESOME
Instant Wishlist. Hurry up and take my money!
i'mn very much looking forward to playing this on full release. It has been on my wishlist for a while now.
This looks beautiful 👏🏾 keep any and all creative approaches. Keep up the good work!
I always wished for a solarpunk game!
Keep the floating plants! It will definitely help create unique builds.
I think you should leave the abnormality. As you said, it gives people some creative fun to play with, even if it is kind of strange.
this is amazing progress. Any thoughts of adding a workshop allowing players to add more varieties of flower for example ? People could add actual species of flowers into the game, expanding the botanic aspect of the game. sounds pretty hard to implement, especially with console versions potentially coming as well sadly.
Keep it. Love it. The more freedom it’s always better.
an animation for the hammer when you place something will enhance the experience
I think the "floating shelf bug" thing would be a good idea if it was like a release toggle button you could put in your settings!! Some people may love it but others might have issues or prefer not, which is fine either way.
I think that plants floating after their supporting shelf is removed can be pretty unexpected for new players, which might make them think the game is buggy, even if it's intended behavior. I think that the mechanic of floating plants is good, but I think ideally the feature should appear more intentional.
1:20ish... I think anytime a person can do something cool and legit lookin but they have to use a sneaky trick to do it, consider removing the sneaky trick, but buff the Item the sneaky trick was used on to gain the ability to be able to do that thing without the sneaky trick's help. For example, don't allow Hanging Pots to magic float in the air after Shelf removal, but buff the Hanging Pot to allow it to hang off the Tree Branch.
Keep up the amazing work! So excited!
Oh i like it . One thing that annoys me in many games is the lack of building freedom.
The game is coming along nicely! Definitely keep the delete-object behavior - the more creative freedom builders have the better, those who don't like it can always delete the floating items. In general, the more options there are to build/decorate creatively, the better in a game like this. Regarding Freecam and Hide UI options - having access to these commands is incredibly helpful for content creators (or creative builders), so it would be highly appreciated if these would be accessible. 🌞

Thank you for your feedback.
Looks great, really want to play.
I'd love to see a game make ladders for getting up on roofs to build... and make it an item you can put in your inventory pick up and move quickly. UI have a hover pickup option
I would say, keep the shelf-delete behavior. Creative players will be able to make use of this feature. OR, get rid of the feature, and simple make it so that players can hang plants anywhere that has a horizontal surface, such as trees, branches, underside of rocks that overhang, etc.
Looks amazing. Keep it up!
Builds in this game look so good that I wish it will have photomode and raytracing GI
Love The STyle!!!
amazing improvements, keep on going!
This looks badass
Ditch the shelf on a tree and allow hanging pots on branches.
I'm extremely looking forward to this game! I love building so this is a central game mechanic for me. The more choices there are, the better. I'd love to see a huge variety of potted plants and it would be great to have them everywhere I want. It is nice to not be restricted too much when building so keep the floating plants. 🙂
This looks like a lot of fun. Cnat wait to play it
Absolutely phenomenal work guys. I am learning soo much from your game for my own open world farming game hehe. All the very best with the release! 💖
Keep floating plants omg
Imagine this being online and being able to see random players islands and homes
It's better to keep the floating plants. Not necessarily to support it as a design strategy, but because the systems that prevent such a thing are often frustrating and worse than a minor lack of realism. For example: in Raft, if you remove a final supporting structure everything above it gets destroyed without you being able to properly identify what is going to get deleted. In V Rising, it's a mess to rearrange a supporting wall or staircase because you might need to deconstruct everything down to the foundation and then rebuild up.
I'd also love more organically shaped houses, like a dome. Or grass roofs.
I wonder if you could add a shadow to the underside of building previews? Just a texture of course, but that might make the previews more visible in all scenarios.
This looks incredible! Will there be a 3rd person view ? Will things be intractable like being able to sit on chairs, light fires etc? 😊
I loke the art, it looks awesomeeeee
Holy fuck this looks so good!!

Hexagonal and octagonal foundations - for my Yurts
I like build placement
sooo beautiful hope it will be rust killer 🙏
Just keep it. It is more freedom for us.
Just make it a toggle option in the settings menu for "Auto Clean-Up Connected Structures"
Love it! Thanks for sharing these news with us :) I also love the soundtrack! Will there be a way to buy it? 😄😇🥰
will the player movement be worked on more in the future ? from the clip at the end it seems a bit off. Maybe one like in Hourglass ? The movement and sound effects were absolutely fantastic, especially when walking on sand

We are keeping an eye on the issue. Thank you for your feedback.
this game fye
planters hanging from trees?? YES keep it!!
I don't think the shelf glitch is "too unrealistic", but if I DON'T want to glitch a hanging plant then manually having to remove it sucks :/ So maybe let players just hang the plants anywhere anyway without the glitch? It is not the glitch that is desired, it's the effect. So why burden players with extra step.
Keep it. :o
This looks very cool. I am craving a gardening game, with composting, vermi composting, watering solar automation and so on, will you have such features too?
the true 'this is not a bug it's a feature'
I can't believe I haven't left a comment before. I'm absolutely excited for this game and can't wait for the full release or demo :D And to answer your questions: - I definitely love the shelf-delete bug! It almost reminds me of a very similar bug in Raft and it opened the doors to a lot of creative endeavors in the Raft community, and I think you should keep it as well. - I also appreciate the effort put into the object placement collision. I immediately thought that the oven DEFINITELY had good space for some picture frames or tiny knick-knacks. - As an artist and previous graphic designer, I was wondering if maybe a thin enough outline on the object previews could solve the issue with not being able to see against the blue sky? Either that, or having a faint blurry shadow just to emphasize the shape would be good too. OR you could maybe change the object preview color from blue to green? Unless the sky eventually turns green at certain times, I think just having the color difference would be helpful as well? - Absolutely love the new building material you're working on, and I love the care taken with the sun. - Huge congratulations on winning the 10k from the OTK Games Expo!
3:15 FLAT SUN CONFIRMED
I WANT IT NOWWW WUGHHHH
Hope this will be on mac!
Do the foundations come in more shapes than squares? Like triangles or semicircles ect? I think it’d be neat to have curves or domes!
Freu mich schon voll drauf 🥰🥰
Nice game!
The shelf thing is a little odd, could we possibly attach hanging pot plants to tree limbs instead? If not, I'd keep the shelf removal
@solarpunk_game
26 күн бұрын
The plants was only example, this happen also with other objects like roof pieces.
A VR VERSION PLEASE!!
Also Keep shelf glitch😊
What's realistic is allowing hanging objects to be attached to any tree branch or objects that stick out. Unrealistic to need a go between using a board then removing it.
Maybe make building previews green
Hey Solar punk do you plan on having this on console anytime soon 😉 That would be Awesome ❤
when will the game be released for early access?

The Dev team at Aloft are very friendly and we wish them nothing but the best.
Is it possible to seperate the floating plant behavior between building and live world as well? So if a support is removed in buildmode the plant floats. But if a game event causes the support to be destroyed, it causes the items to fall?
Cool so i can build your game world for you. Whats the gameplay?
Can you cap off the roof ends with 90 degree walls? It seems odd that they are just open like that.

Will there be a setting to disable that sphere that drifts away when you place something down? I really dislike it..
why would you leave this (1:14) if you can simply allow to hand pots on trees? lol
Keep the shelf glitch
does an island have 1 building grid or multiple? let's say i have 2 buildings on the same island, could i connect them with a roof later or would they be unaligned?

Hey! This looks awesome! Do you guys need music for the game? I am an audio engineer and composer.
I'm an electronic music producer and am working on some solarpunk music. I'm looking for some visual artists to connect with to do some video to go with the music...
